See, I saw this as a positive thing, but everyone else (in the comments at least) seems to think this is negative. It looks like they're getting information from lots of different places so as to be able to form their own, whole opinion. Forming an opinion based solely on your own experience and never looking for or considering other ideas is ignorance, and I thought this was showing how multifaceted and complex and whole opinions should be

I get that he's being dumb by doing this but I felt the need to point out that not everyone who is poor "looks poor". Not all poor people wear ripped old clothes and look like they've been sleeping in an alleyway. Many poor people live in a normal house, have normal clothes, and a normal car.

Wow ... just wow. This is some amazing cosplay I have seen. What I loved about Alyson's cosplay is that unlike many other female cosplayers out there she is refraining from showing too much skin and sticking to the true image of the character. I am still in awe how much good work this is.

Girls pick up on this as well. I avoided anything that could remotely be seen as feminine because I had equated femininity with inferiority. Femininity was frivolous and I wanted to be a hard-edged career woman. I was in my late 20s when it kind of hit me that I had been taught to loath part of my identity, my gender, a huge fucking part of who I am even though I was (and still am) a strong feminist. But my younger form of feminism was adapting masculine qualities because I wanted to be a powerful woman while avoiding pink like a color matters in the slightest. Now I accept that femininity and masculinity are bullshit, people are complex and have both traits and both traits have value. Compassion and leadership are both important and they are not exclusive on one or another gender.
