As someone who's worked in both wholesale and retail; this is only half true. Yes, some goods are made for off-price, but others are 100% trying to get rid of old season stock of high quality goods. You need to get the old inventory off of your books so you can buy up for the new season and Nord Rack, TJMaxx, Etx. are a GREAT way to move those units out.

I was a DM for a deep diving cert class and one of the students got "narc'ed" and took his mask off and reg out at 100 feet. I shoved the reg back in his mouth, put his googles back on and alerted the instructor to end the dive at that point. Nitrogen narcosis can hit anyone doing a deep dive, some are more susceptible than others so it's always wise to dive with someone how's done deep dives before and know how they react so they can keep an eye out for odd behaviors.

That should never have happened. New divers should do weight tests at the surface to check buoyancy. If someone sunk like that they were WAY over weighted and it was negligent of the DM in charge to let them dive that way.

Well, the TSA ruined a perfectly good pair of shoes. That wasn't someone trying to smuggle blades in their shoes. That's how shoes are made, with a metal band along the bottom for reinforcement. Some cobblers recycle old saw blades for the purpose, since they are inexpensive and made from spring steel. Many corset makers also use old hacksaw blades as boning in corsets for the same reason.

For the record, the local ski resort I go to in Colorado still doesn't have safety bars and this is exactly what you still do to keep the little kids on the lift...though the easiest way is to just shove your ski pole through the arm hole to create a makeshift bar.

The only regret I've had on any of my tattoos at this point is not the tattoo, but the placement. If I were to do it again, I would do it 1 inch lower! It's right where my neck meets my back and just SLIGHTLY shows above shirts, no enough so people can see what is is, but just enough that people think my tag of my shirt is showing and will try and tuck it in for me and then realize it's my tattoo. My mom has done this many time. I love my tattoo, just would redo the placement.
