Not always. One of my clients wanted to develop their own instrument for some measurements in a test bench. They had more difficulties than they initially thought, but didn't give up. They so much didn't give up that it eventually took them 4 years and 1.5 million euros to develop it, when the alternative that was proposed from the start was an off the shelf 60 000 euros instrument (tested and guaranteed, with IVI support). Now, I'm tasked to integrate it in their test bench, and it doesn't work very well. Sometimes, it's better to give up, so you can rethink your objectives.

Two of us couldn't make my friends cat to take his pills. Wrapping them in cheese/ham/butter didn't help one bit, he would spit them out. This thing made it all much quicker and less stressfull for him and us. It really works.
