After this trial I hope people look back on the appalling misogynistic way he speaks about all women and also goes back and sees his racial epitaphs he's made about native Americans and black people. If I watch anymore of this trial I'll be fired. The only way someone is watching more than me is if they're unemployed and yes I will be banned merely for seeing things differently. 10downvotes 3times you are banned permanently. The judges broke down the facts and timeline too if you want to take a look. The facts and I mean the facts not gut feelings or gotcha moments and the timeline is completely obvious to me. People are afraid to disagree w the depp people bc they get abused. I've been called depps favorite word a c u * t a few times. I've never name called. I can't stand Amber she's unlikeable and far from a perfect victim but I believe her bc of those facts I see. Mental emotional and financial abuse are alsoI've loved depp since the 80s but he's guilty. I won't be gaslit by people calling me crazy or worse.

I'm very uncomfortable with the trial, the media coverage and the tacit invitation to the public to pile on and tear Amber apart. The trial heard professional evidence on her mental health diagnoses which to me means there is no chance of a fair hearing anyway, and I'm really not sure how reliable the testimony can be of immensely rich people, who can afford top lawyers, with decades of prolific substance abuse to their credit. If this was a normal case and they weren't rich, famous and media-worthy, they might not even be seen as credible witnesses. I can see others see it differently but this doesn't feel right or humane to me. Clearly a payday for the lawyers though. In other words, I'm not on the side of either person, I'm just questioning whether this circus is the right way to get to the truth.

I'm not stating my opinion on this case one way or another but I just can't stand the amount of people passing judgement or making comments on how victims of abuse are "supposed to behave". Again, this is nothing to do with who I think is guilty in this case but to say someone isn't showing the 'usual signs' or isn't 'acting right' for a victim is dead wrong. We don't all turn into timid, perturbed, shadows of our former selves - it's not one size fits all. If you're not a professional and you haven't worked one-to-one with the person, keep your unfounded opinions to yourself.

I know one couple where the husband is uncomfortable with several in-laws. The wife learned to listen to his concerns. Now she coaches him on how to handle them before they go to a family reunion. That support is better than telling them to go to therapy. In sharing the burden and compromising, they've made family visits easier. They don't completely agree on those relatives, but they understand that each person is different (he came from a very polite family, hers is not so polite).
