I LOVE these gloves! I reserve them for cleaning the 5 portable water fountains I have in my home for pets. Much better than the brush I was using for scrubbing, and I have more pressure directly from my hands than from handle of brush.

I ordered a car from one of those popular used lots (rhymes with FarLax) and was called when it arrived on the lot from another location about an hour away where it had been "pre-inspected" for the trip and should be ready for me to purchase. Lifted the hood, and it was packed full of leaves similar to what you see here. Whomever had been living there had already left. I guess pre-inspections don't include looking under the hood.

Why do people think that that must have something important like that just because they wish it to be? I remember my FIL telling me he expected grandsons. Not only did we plan to not have kids (and we didn't) but we are also no contact with him now. Did he get grandson? Well, yes, but...one is from his stepson, and stepson and family are also no contact with him. His son by blood has two boys with a long-term partner (never married) and they are mix race (white and Latin American). I sometimes wonder how that sits with his wall-loving, immigrant-hating attitudes LOL. Be careful what you wish for!

I hate this situation for you! Can you sit down with your mom, acknowledge that she might be upset, but you want to discuss how to address this current situation. It can be hard, but try to remember that these are challenging times for her as well - single parent, financial issues I presume since you've been helping pay for things, plus losing her husband. Maybe you could talk this out and make a plan together. Another thing to discuss: that puppy needs attention! Might not solve the chewing problem entirely, but he needs to be walked and played with in constructive ways to burn up energy. I know you didn't want him, but he's there now and needs to be cared for as well.

I didn't change my name when I got married (at 30) for several reasons but mostly related to being the last in my family with the name. Husband was supportive, in-laws were passive aggressive (introduced me with his last name, sent cards and invitations addressed to Mr and Mrs His-Last-Name, etc.). Eventually it stopped. Around the time I turned 50, I re-evaluated my reasons and decided to change my name. Husband was surprised how happy he was. The in-laws apparently decided behind my back that I was only ever testing the marriage or that I had cheated on him. I'm not sure which of their responses was actually worse - before change or after. But my husband and I are very happy, and they are a very small, insignificant part of our lives so they can think whatever they need to think.

Whether you can still pull it off or not (and it sounds like you can), he was WRONG to unilaterally decide and do this. If he felt this strongly about it, he should talk to you, but accept that the decision was YOURS and not his. He doesn't get more rights to make it just because others agreed with him. And if you agreed to get rid of anything, there were better ways to do that. Now that he has gotten away with this, he will make more decision on your behalf in the future.
