I don't know about the legality with the key. Most places change the locks anyway, since keys are easy to duplicate (even ones that say DO NOT DUPLICATE). The bigger thing is that the woman chose to put this out on social, which is accessible to everyone, including potential new employers. Not sure if, as an employer, I'd take a chance on someone who might decide to roast me if she didn't like something.

This irks me. It's great for the angry guest, but such a policy keeps rates high, to "compensate" for people who do this. If you have a real issue, but all means, but if you couldn't find your favourite snack in the vending machine, that's not a refundable 'offense.'

idk about other places, but my brother works in a hotel and he says the thoroughly inspect things before the next guest checks in. The time is built into the day. If someone eats/drinks part of a fridge item and puts it back, they get charged. If someone destroys property, they get charged. I think that's a big reason why you've always had to use a credit card, even if you're paying at the end in cash. Of course, motels you can do what you want (not that you should).

This one is just stupid, since many ads cannot be skipped without an ad blocker. I use Adblock Plus and a couple of site specific ones, and I don't see any ads ever - not on YouTube, Facebook, this site, or any others. If you ever come across a site that will not show you the page before turning off your ad blocker, you would do well to move on and avoid it, because along with their flood of ads, they also want to deliver tracking cookies and other data mining code.
