"I Just Said Thank You And Left": Man’s Nice Gesture Is Praised After Pizza Hut Driver Got A $20 Tip On A $938 Order

To all those saying the US needs to get rid of the tip culture and pay servers and delivery drivers a decent wage—-we agree!!! HOWEVER, until that day comes, when you’re in the states and eat food, whether in the restaurant or delivered, then GIVE THE SERVER/DELIVERY DRIVER A DECENT F*****G TIP!!! They don’t give two shits about your opinion on the subject, or how it’s done in your country. They live here, now, and have to pay their rent and bills here, now. So they NEED that tip money to get by. So, until you read in the news that everyone over here is being paid a decent wage and tips aren’t necessary to survive, just shut your mouth, open your wallet, fork over anywhere between 18% and 22%—-preferably in cash—-and let them move on to the next customer before their food gets cold. Just save your lectures, comments, and bitching about tips for someone who isn’t busy at work.

That color is called Spring Green, and was really popular in the late seventies to early eighties.

I would place it in the 1930s, give or take a decade. A little TLC and it will be beautiful once again. If it actually is that old, you will find the glass in the mirrors is much thicker than in modern mirrors. The etching will probably be real etching, not faux stenciling, and the wood will be solid, though there may be some nice wood veneer (oak, mahogany, cherry) on top of less expensive pine, but the line will still be solid. No cardboard, plywood, or particle board, but real solid wood.

I’m so sorry for her. We lost our Baz last year. We adopted him (and his sister) at 9 weeks old and he was a few months shy of 20 years old when he died. We got him right after our first anniversary, so he was almost as old as our marriage. We love all our cats, but have never had one live so long (previous record was 15). We have other cats, so kept all the cat stuff, but Bazzy’s ashes were buried alongside his sister, Lucy (who died at 13), in our backyard. Both of them were buried with their favorite bowl and toy, as are all our cats. Before I started keeping cats exclusively indoors, they were indoor/outdoor cats, so I would bury them with their collars and tags too. Something to take over the Rainbow Bridge, you know.
