Both my husband and I have had dental work in Mexico, and my mother in law in Arizona gets ALL of her dental work done there. I saw a great dentist in Puerto Morelos, Mexico 7 years ago for a root canal, a filling, and two crowns on my broken incisors. He was great. I'd recently had a steroid injection for back pain, and he answered my questions about that over email, and worked me into his very busy schedule during the Christmas holiday week. He has an endodontist and oral surgeon that work with him, and the endodontist performed my root canal, a new experience for me. He did my initial exam, cleaning, and xrays HIMSELF, as well as the filling and attaching my gorgeous crowns. I am hoping to go back to him for a four post partial denture implant to replace my missing lower molars. I'm missing 12 +teeth because pulling them was what I could afford. I didn't think losing them was a big deal coming out one by one, but now I would love to eat a steak!

A few years ago, it was a hot Summer day and I wanted to go jogging outside, but, because it was hot and very sunny, I decided to take a route that was full of beautiful houses with lots of trees that provided shade and it was near the lake. I always follow my instinct, but I was going to ignore my gut feeling and still go the scenery route. Three hours later, I heard the news that a jogger was assaulted at gun point on the same scenery route that I was warned not to take, at the same time that I was going to go!

It's great actually. I used to live across from a cemetery. Even better it was a church cemetery, mostly for Civil War era parishioners. So no funeral processions, which is what this kid likely saw. It was in an urban area, so not sure if it was peaceful, but you didn't need to worry they'd build a gas station in front of your house. And there was green space for a stroll, or to have lunch out doors on a bench. Volunteers maintained gardens on the grounds. It was lovely, still is but i moved.

Nursing puppies just poop anywhere, because theyre brand new and don't know better. I'm more curious where they went that allowed a mastiff of any kind AND her puppies. Dog friendly rarely = GIANT dog friendly, much less new, not-house-trained, puppy friendly.

The OP could have said some version of no, sure, but that would have gone over just as badly, if not worse, than locking herself in her hotel room. Clearly her future in-laws thought shoving the baby (and the giant dog w/puppies) on the new person was perfectly acceptable behavior, so I doubt very much that a "no thanks, I didn't come on this trip to babysit," (even said in the nicest possible way) was going to be received as a polite response to being handed a baby. Saying anything to her FSIL sets her up as the bad guy for pretty much ever in that family. Her FIANCE, however, should never have let it come to this, and he might be the a*****e. Why did he agree to that drive? An 8 month old and a giant dog w/nursing puppies? Clearly the shared drive was the start of the babysitting duties, and was not going to be fun for him or his fiance, so why agree to it? And if he sees that his fiance has had enough of his sister's kid, he should either take the baby himself (men can do this) or tell his sister to leave his fiance alone. If he's not capable of that, then his fiance should fly home and reconsider her situation.

When I'm angry any technology I'm using will bug out, my laptop will freeze or start to lag, or a dongle will stop working and I'll lose my peripherals, or I get disconnected from the server and not be able to get back in until I'm calmer... That's happened most of my adult life (I'm Jedi Generation, tech wasn't common place until my late teens). When I was a teen I someone told me they always knew I was about to arrive at their place because their fire alarm would give off those little test beeps which never happened any other time. I can also generate a whole of heat in my palms just by thinking about it, which I can use to temporarily stop people's pain, I'm like a tens machine without the little shocks. So that's cool. I've always put it down to some people being able to manipulate their energy more efficiently or easily.
