The book ("Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep?" by Philip K. D**k) is completely different from the movie. Reading the book explains a lot of unanswered questions about the movie. Also, I highly recommend author Keith Jeter's sequelae, "The Edge of Human," "Replicant Night," and "Eye and Talon." Jeter's style is wonderful, and his plots are amazing.

I will probably get downvoted for this and get banned but I don't care. If was pregnant and it was detected the foetus had down syndrome, I would abort. Not everyone with down syndrome are adorable happy people that can be independent. Some are like babies their whole lives and need a lot more special, lifelong care. I personally could not cope. Kudos to anyone who has/can, just remember that not everyone has the ability, whether emotional, financial, physical or mental etc.

My high school physics teacher taught my class basic calculus without us knowing it. The small rural high school didn't offer calculus and wouldn't let him teach it because he wasn't certified in the subject. He taught us a bunch of "math short cuts" to get around the algebra to save time on the physics tests. When I got to college and took the math placement exam, I had no idea how to answer the questions on differentiation, infinitesimal limits, and integrals because I'd never seen the notation. Once I took the actual calculus course I realized I knew a bunch more than I thought but my science teacher purposefully left out things like the integral sign to get around the school board. Mr. Roberts, if you read this - thank you!

My puppy was a return to the shelter puppy - the family couldn't handle a "hyper" dog with small children in the house. He was not even 3 months old, what did they expect from a puppy? The shelter employees had him in the intake side but when one of them heard my 13 year old mention getting a young dog, she brought him out for us to meet. My 13 year old actually cried when he picked him up. Three years it's been and he's been the smartest, calmest dog around. He loves everyone and everyone (including neighbors) loves him.
