My mother and I both experience this. It’s terrifying. We both have an extremely high tolerance of many different medications, particularly anything for pain or anesthesia. I’m always careful to repeat again and again that I must be monitored closely during any type of sedation. Waking up during a procedure, but not completely enough to communicate, is frightening.

I kind of pity those who didn't experience life before the internet. There are advantages and disadvantages to both the internet and the pre-internet world but they didn't get to see how nice it can be to not always have to be “on call“.

Like their items cost more than LV etc. I believe Hermes is the most expensive designer clothing/bag brand in the world in terms of how much they charge for their products. Fam-Lee, brok-Lee... I'm not sure about the cholesterol one though, I've never heard anyone say that one weird regardless of regional accent. Growing up in the Midwest fam-lee and Brok-Lee were common. I live in eastern PA now and hear it less. My wife is from Virginia and brings a whole slew of fun pronunciations to the table. Foil = foal, boil = bowl, and so on.
