Omg I love the buns. My daughter has two. Cooper and Zeus. A couple of weeks ago she got another one we name Marsh because he looked like a burnt marshmallow Dark grey on the inside white fur underneath. He was a short hair bunny and softer than velvet. She went to her dads for a couple days and I went to feed and water the buns and found him dead. Broke my heart. Then the phone call.... *sigh. I hate it. No more bunnies. I can't deal with the heartache of losing one and watching my daughter's heart shatter.

Ok so I do photography on the side and at first I was furious she canceled the day before the wedding but then I read it. Lol Shame on that bride, I would 100% not have given the deposit back. I never do, it's non refundable for a reason, mine is to hold the date so I don't double book or lose out on income. I got married last year and I texted my photogs constantly. Sometimes just to say hi (great couple). this must not have been that important. Then I would've posted on her FB post all the ignored texts / emails.

You don't want to give her more trauma but you are. You actively hate a 13 year old... for acting like 13 year old. That is sad, but what you are letting yourself do to her, your husband, and yourself is horrifying. I know op will never read my words but it makes me feel better to write them out because I know what it feels like to have a parent that hates you. I hope anyone who's in a similar situation to the person who wrote this takes this as a wakeup call and stops abusing their kid. If you can't be a parent, don't.

You can easily find out if another photographer was hired (yes, wedding photographers talk with each other, or even a simple web search). It’s more likely the wedding was cancelled and the now single woman just wanted to con her way to a deposit refund.

Same, got suspended because I forgot to mention my post was sarcastic. When I saw the replies it was too late for an edit. Sometimes the gatekeeping for only sweet and supportive comments is stronger than people having an opinion other than your own

I'm a photographer, and my contract specifically states that I have a non-refundable retainer for my services because I lose that day/time for other potential clients. I offer a one time ability to reschedule should the shoot be canceled for unforeseeable issues, but that's it. I do however contact them multiple times prior to a shoot to discuss everything, because we all like to be in the 'know', and it sets their mind at ease with the anxiety a lot of clients have prior to a shoot. I've had clients cancel on me, even an hour before shooting, and they got nothing back from me except their one chance to reschedule if it was out of their control. Some clients think they can get away with stuff like this, and nothing bad will come of it. Then they blame the photographer as if it's their fault, when it's 90% of the time the client's fault, esp. in wedding situations. This is yet another reason why I will never shoot weddings.

What the f**k is wrong with that person who said that the last business to publicly call her out is no longer in business? If customers can resort to social media, so can businesses and that half a*s mob attitude is out of line.
