I remember there was a Swiss Colony store in the mall where I grew up. It was right at one of the entrances/exits. I always liked to go in and leave that way because it just smelled amazing. I loved that place and purchased occasionally from them.

I was talked into getting a washable air filter when they installed my HVAC about 12 years ago. About four years later I was having a problem with the A/C not kicking on and hearing a crackling noise coming from the unit. The guy that came to fix the problem said that I was lucky I still had a blower motor left. He said they are very air restrictive and the blower motor tends to suck them in which explains the crackling noise. I also read this on the internet. Switched back to disposable ones and haven't had a problem since. They are more expensive now but it beats having to replace a blower motor and being without air in the FL heat.

The Suave Body Wash lasts me forever ands it's only a few dollars. A little goes a long way when you apply a little to one of those loofahs. Using body wash also gets rid of all the soap scum that happens when you use bar soap.

Good idea, swiffer products are expensive. I used to use the swiffer wet jet but, the solutions and pads just got too expensive. Plus I notices a cloudy film on my tiling so, I bought a steam mop. Just uses distilled water and it came with the washable pads that I've had for about 10 years now. My tiling is very shiny now.

I'm not running my electric stove top to make my house smell good. I've gotten my bill down by about $10 to $15 a month by not using the dryer or oven (unless I absolutely have to) all summer. I will go back to the dryer when I start to wear heavier clothes in the colder months.

When I was a kid, we'd sleep on a mattress on the floor because bullets would come in through the windows at night. I was not in America. But then, I wouldn't have had a mirror that large in my home either. That is wealth that we wouldn't have had. Also, all of our homes were made of brick, so a bullet wouldn't punch through like that. We'd certainly get bullet holes on in the plaster, but not all the way through the wall like that. One of my brother's still lives in my old neighborhood, and his house has bullet holes all over the plaster outside, and on the ceilings near the windows. Just saying, the USA is not the only country with gun problems. It's just the only country that chooses to be that way.

In my student days there was a shortcut between my apartment and the university campus - walk down a dead end street and cross the roadway there and you were on campus. Someone decided that they didn't want students doing that so they had a chain link fence erected to prevent it. But we could still squeeze past so it was tolerable. But about a week after the fence was erected it was destroyed - somebody had hooked a car up to it in the middle of the night and just tore it apart. It was never repaired/replaced. Fast forward many years and my daughter is attending the same university. Not only is there no fence but there is now a pedestrian crosswalk (with lights).
