My son has a deficient immune system because he is on chemotherapy for cancer treatment, and he is kicking cancer's ass. But let me tell you. If some stupid parent's idiotic "choice" kills him, I have nothing left to lose. I wonder how they would feel if they were in my shoes - how would they REALLY FEEL if their child's life very literally could be ended by another parent's stupid, uninformed, idiotic, senseless choice.

Then I post the link to several studies about the gene mutation on chromosome 15 that is the actual cause of autism. Studies that are so accurate that Canada now uses it to test for the possibility of a newborn having autism..and they've been right every time. Hmmm. (Even another anti-vaxxer tried to say the chromosome is being altered by the vaccines. Uhm..that's not how DNA works..but thanks for playing...)

Also, vaccines don’t provide 100% protection in many cases. I recently found out I was not protected against mumps. I don’t know if it’s because it was a long time since I receive my mumps vaccine or because I am so old I only received one instead of the now standard two. Regardless I was a vaccinated person who was susceptible to mumps. (No longer as I have been vaccinated again.) some people also have bodies that just do not respond properly to the vaccines and do not acquire immunity from receiving them.

I completely agree that belittling people only angers them and then they aren't open to debate. It doesn't help. People end up responding to the insult rather than to the information. However, we don't know that she had a position on vaccinations before she started reading the research. So is it fair to say that this was just to support her viewpoint? Plus the whole point of her tweets is that she is regurgitating information. Information that is from genuine scientifically-based research. There isn't any genuine scientifically-based research that supports the anti-vax arguments.
