One of the most heart wrenching moments in season 4 is Hugh Laurie's character saying "Sir, I'm scared" in the last episode. That sudden switch from excitement and bravado implying he's just been putting on a brave face all along. And the boys are carrying clubs instead of guns because they might as well be. The last episode makes me cry every time.

No, I honestly don't find it creepy. Those people don't care. They're dead. As some have said it's rather nice that their laugh lives on. Though I also don't know if it's accurate to say it's been repurposed and they may well have signed an agreement for their laughter to be used as a sound track. Everything I've ever been involved with - using people's stories or images in media for various different purposes - everyone had to sign releases agreeing to future use and you couldn't just decide to do something else with it. Even dead their families could sue if it went against original agreements. So who knows. Also, many recording artists have been furious when their music was used for a person or purpose they didn't like - so there are going to be dead singers/writers who wouldn't be happy if they knew and that doesn't retain the artists intentionality.

They can be using it for decades more on many new shows but there's nothing creepy about the recorded laughter of people now dead. It's just reusing something that already exists. Same for songs used in soundtracks where the singer is deceased - why is laughter not okay but singing is? Acting is? Why should any of these things no longer be used just because the people have died?

I'm confused. Do they really mean shouting? Screaming is "to give a long, loud, piercing cry or cries expressing extreme emotion or pain" or "make a loud high pitched sound". Screaming is non-verbal. Not that I'm condoning any of it - just that actually screaming at a child is going to be even worse than yelling at the poor thing! At least yelling contains words they hopefully can understand. Although I suppose that does depend on the words!

Hello 👋 and welcome back! I'm similar - would like my teeth 'finished' being straightened as the job done when I was a child wasn't quite good enough. I had four molars removed and braces and have still got a bit of a crooked smile. I'll be honest, In his shoes I'd not want to wear braces for my wedding photos (if I do get braces they'll be the invisible ones as, yes, I am self-conscious) but good for him not minding! I admire that. It should be completely up to him as to how his smile looks, not her. People get way too bogged down in petty detail. The wedding is actually quite a small part of it all, the MARRIAGE is what matters.
