Modern properties and renovations are doing away with non mixer taps. I haven't had any like that in my last few properties.

My partner and I agreed we'd pick our own day rather than end up being charged excessive amounts just because it's Valentine's day and a friend said 'oh how unromantic'. Seriously? Never saw being fleeced as terribly romantic personally but go ahead and pay double for a bunch or roses - just like every other sucker. I'm with you Rose!

Honestly, this may be an unpopular opinion, but I just don't get valentines day, at least, not the modern cashgrab of an event it has become. You should NOT need a special day to treat your partner to something nice, or show how much you love them. All valentines day is now, is an excuse for various companies to squeeze more money out of you as you purchase cards/gifts/fancy dinners...

If you asked the *average* American to name European countries, I'm betting they wouldn't be able to name more than 1/4 of the countries. And that's being generous.

This is triggering me on so many levels. As a woman, a teacher, a student and a human being....I can't believe this is happening in the 21st century. Whaaat?! Is this some kind of a 3rd world country, where people lack basic biology, sex education, let alone basic human empathy or something.? This person totally deserves to lose his job. Stupidity and lack of respect shouldn't be tolerated, supported and encouraged. This will never happen in my country (Bulgaria). Such a "teacher" will be fired and mocked by everyone. Actually a lot of girls with strong period cramps take sick leaves for a few days every month and no one bats an eye. It saddens me there are places in the world where men are still entitled to dictate women and on top of it they lack the smallest knowledge of what a woman and her body is. That's like telling a woman who says oh, I'm giving birth, you should have planned it better. Control yourself. This man is a cavemen, let alone a teacher.

I once saw a specialist (UK) and was not impressed with their attitude so when I needed additional treatment for the same issue I asked to go to a different hospital to avoid seeing the same specialist again. I explained my reason to my GP and they were fine to select a different hospital. It isn't something that is necessarily made obvious but I had read about it online and so knew it was an option. That was NHS but obviously if you go private you can choose who you like. Even UK private is cheaper than US.
