Better than bragging rights? I guess? Public schools are woefully underfunded. While they could have done better...they probably really couldn't. I work in a school board where, we are told not to use food as treats (too many allergies, and we need to be inclusive) so, we can use small things like this, but they can't be teacher-funded...so the school has to have the budget for something like this. If the parent council is on board, then there could be funds... At the end of the day...I get it, sometimes nothing feels better than something mundane and cheap (0.08 cents per student?) but depending on how many students you need to provide for...that may be all you can budget for...and things are expensive.

Okay, think about it though, because I did, in the back of my mind, over the course of this day, and something kept nagging at me, and it wasn't just my wife. So then it dawns on me... pretend to be interested in the TV. Go over to the guys house to pick it up, and talk to him. And find out what's really going on and maybe help him help himself. Because this is obviously a cry for help. And then at the end of the day, maybe this dude realizes there really are people in this world who care enough to care and they get the help they need. And and if that doesn't seem worth it to you, well... FREE 55 INCH SMART TV!

If it were cable, you could have as many users as are in the household, but back in the day, you could only watch on as many TVs you had in the house, and only in the house. Now you can bring your screens with you where you go, and share with anyone on your outings. Then it gets tricky...what do you do when you have family members who are part of the household but going to collage, or staying the weekend at grandmas, or at camp all week... The idea behind the account sharing was a branch off of cable. Well...all these people live here and kids can't be expected to have their own paid accounts. Now they want an account per person because streaming wasn't the profitable venue they thought it would be. Then you have to keep your content fresh because if you don't, people will just scribe for a month and then drop when they get bored... It would have been better had Netflix been the main game, and everyone else could have their services under one umbrella for a small fee...
