I remember the metal slides from the playgrounds. They would get extremely hot in the sun and you would start to feel like a burger patty on the grill midway down the slide...and yet we didn't care. We probably had pants made from asbestos.

This happened with my niece. I'm her uncle and we're both the rebels of our families. I asked her about the music she listens thinking that I'll "click" with her on that matter...And then she started listing some names of new bands I've never heard about and I mumbled "umm.. uh.. no, never heard about them". Fortunately, she also listed Eminem and Metallica...and when I mentioned Iron Maiden the roles reversed and she went "ummm..nope, never heard about them". Still, there's hope.

For me a fast relief is some back exercises I've seen on Bob and Brad on YT. Also I sleep face up with a rolled tower or a small pillow under the lumbar area to relief pressure for a while. Don't hunch forward when working on the PC, use a lumbar support to keep spine curved. Avoid sleeping on the belly and bending down from the middle when picking up things when you have a sciatic crisis.

She's NTA at all for putting a bag on an empty seat in a mostly empty train, especially after being willing to move. But, she's definitely wrong about taking her shoes off and putting her feet up on the seat. You don't do that on a train. This is not just an "American" thing, as she implied, it is absolutely frowned upon in Europe and certainly in parts of western and southeast Asia.

Honestly, I think most of the issues you write about are personal things that you might see that way and you have every right to do so. But please be careful with blaming a gender for something that is a personal view of life. It's ok to take time to heal, it's ok to block people if you don't feel it's good. But consider: maybe that is just your perception and the man was not disrespectful at all, it just felt like it because of your own past. For example: every 2nd women has written "long term only / no ONS" but most of them are still fine with a one night stand if the guy is ok enough. Men know this so they chose to ignore the information because they know that many women change their mind. You maybe don't and that's fine, but it's not that men don't take women serious, it's just different life experiences. I too ask straight away to meet in person, because writing in my experience adds close to zero to get to know the person. Most are fine with it, if you are not we won't meet ;)

I've never understood the art of destroying old books. Don't get me wrong, the work was beautiful, but use newer books where there are thousands of copies, don't destroy old ones. They're legendary.
