PETA is a conspiracy by the meat industry to raise societies distrust in actual animal right activists. Only evidence i have is that not a single human being could act as stupid and pretentious as PETA does very often.Careless_Test8880 reply
People with lower IQ's are happier because they aren't constantly overthinking, looking for self-transcendence, analyzing everything around them, and expecting too much of themselves.CrabHandsTheMan reply
My bond with my bearded dragon goes beyond “he’s warm”. I understand the limitations of his tiny nervous system and that he isn’t capable of affection. I just firmly believe that he not only wants heat and food, but that he finds my presence to be pleasant. That boy will come off his basking log as hot as hell ever need to be, with a belly full of bugs, and still come hauling over just to fall asleep on me. I don’t know what it is, but it’s more than just him seeking the necessities.Show All 5 Upvotes

British Man Living In Helsinki Shares “Very Finnish Problems” And They’re Hilariously Accurate

My mom had her own salon and I worked for her. I was a very spoiled, entitled and irresponsible 21 yo. I would party all night, come home at 4am and then go into work 30 min late without telling my mom. I thought I did a better job than everyone. I looked down on my moms employees. I didn’t care about customers and treated them badly. The list of negatives could go on and on. Anyways my moms brother, my uncle, died unexpectedly. They were extremely close in every way almost like twins. My mom had a complete mental break down and stopped going into work immediately. I had to step in to take care of her business and employees while she took time off to mourn. She ended up taking 4 months off and went on a once in a lifetime all around the world vacation to cope with her grief. I literally had to take on a million responsibilities overnight. In those 4 months I took care of every single aspect of the salon without prior business knowledge. I realized how difficult having a business was and how ignorant I was before. I got my c**p together real quick to save my family’s business and keep it afloat while my mom was gone. I really grew up from that experience and I’m glad I went through it. I never once took my mom, her business, customers, income or people in general for granted ever againcinder_allie reply
I had a few reality checks. The first major one was during a Christmas gathering where my nephew received 2 new Playstation consoles and 1 new Xbox console. The idea was to send a Playstation to each parents house as they were separated. His comment was "is that it?" The amount of red that I saw was insane. I was a spoiled brat but I never made a comment quite like that. Made me realize how insufferable it is to be around a spoiled brat. Second was when my mom had a stroke. Found out she took out a lot of loans in secret to afford a lifestyle facade. I was used to my mom fixing all my problems whether it be monetary or education based. We were told my mom would have 48 hours to live - needless to say I sobered up quickly and got my s**t together. Nearly 9 years later and both mom and I are doing great!Chardagoat reply
I received a phone call from my late husband’s girlfriend the day of his funeral. She was phoning his cell phone which I had turned off while he was in the hospital. She told me that my husband had been paying her rent for the last year. The bank had recently foreclosed on our house. I had no idea he was unfaithful to me but she knew all about me.SketchesFromMidgard reply
I went through a nasty break up with my oldest kids mom that lasted several years. We were never married and she was crazy as hell so she told the hospital she didn't know our kid's father just so she could have leverage over me. You know, like a sane person does. Years later and after several investigations into child abuse she lost custody. Over the next several years we kept getting oddly specific complaints about things going on in my house and my daughter and her step mom specifically. Dumb s**t like matching clothes or details about how we do time out. My mom died 2 years ago and when we switched her facebook to memorial mode I saw that she had been talking bad about me for years to my ex and was essentially spying on me for her and twisting information. I'm guessing it's because she felt bad for a mother that lost her kid but it was still a d**k move. It's been 2 years and I still refuse to visit her grave with my siblings and havent shed a tear for her sinceLook-Its-a-Name reply
White people want to be tanned, people with high skin pigmentation want to be pale. It's completely idiotic how we each want what the others have.FleshEmoji reply
When I was living in Japan, someone told me this. “Americans are stupid but clever, whereas the French are clever but stupid. We Japanese are polite but rude, whereas you Brits are rude but polite.”Upstairs-Fee-7085 reply
I am from Azerbaijan. And because of the country’s name many think we are a super religious country like Iran, Afghanistan, and etc. In fact we are not. We are the 5th most secular country in the world and religion doesn’t play a role for us like it does for many other countries. We really arent religious.WhosSaidWhatNow reply
From NZ I asked my ex girlfriend this question. She just looked at me with her curls hanging over her dark brown eyes, her face looking full of confusion. She didn't seem to understand what I was asking but she's always been the quiet one I suppose and not keen on confrontation. I was getting annoyed at this point but I needed to know. I asked her again but she turned away from me and screamed Baaaaaaaaaa!Show All 17 Upvotes
