I'm aware of probabilities, To Blave, but I still believe that it's not good to jump to conclusions. The percentage of people that are affected by any uncommon disorder is smaller than 50%, but is it worth the risk? The aforementioned repercussions may suggest not.

I can totally see how she's overweight, but we shouldn't assume it's because of overeating. A thyroid issue can really mess with your weight, maybe she has a disorder where she can't tell when she's full (still admittedly overeating, but explainable) maybe she has a nutrient absorption issue and has to eat a ton of extra calories to get enough of a certain nutrient. We shouldn't judge people at first for things we might not understand entirely. If she does have a health issue, people jumping to conclusions could lead to self esteem issues, or, worse, an eating disorder.
