'Comic Sans is the only type-face that is easy to read for dyslexic persons (different levels of dyslexia included) due to the font, dyslexics can more easily identify the letters.

Or, are dyslexic. I used to rag on comic sans, too. Then I discovered that it is considered to be one of the easiest fonts for dyslexics to read, which is one of the reasons it is used by so many teachers. While I still wouldn’t choose it for formal business correspondence, I no longer associate its use with either frivolity or immaturity (unless the message, itself, suggests that I should).

Comic Sans is a perfectly acceptable font, get over yourselves, it is just a font. It is legible, clear, easy for young and old to understand, it helps some folk with reading difficulties to make sense of some words, yes there are more ‘elite’ looking fonts, yes there are fonts that may match your purpose in a better way but if you want your message to get to everyone then Comic Sans can tick those boxes. Stop the ridiculous hate.

It's different for everyone! For me, specific things can cause panic attacks, flashbacks (which are basically when your brain doesn't fully process a traumatic event as it happens to you so when something triggers it, you are basically thrown into a 'second universe' where you experience everything again. Trust me, it sucks), sometimes I'll get an extreme feeling of fear (which subsequently causes a panic attack), and sometimes I'll even end up severely depressed. Trigger warnings and censors are incredibly important, but I do agree that censoring the word kill is a little overboard (and this is coming from a person who was severely su1c1dal for 3 years and can get triggered by things like that, so don't come at me)
