The Scots wore voluminous kilts for ease of movement, not pencil skirts, and flat footwear, not 5" spike heels. It would be hard to run up and down Scottish hillsides in these clothes, and I think (since we were asked what we think) that the restriction of movement does reduce physical expression, or at least, limit the setting where these clothes can be worn.

I’ve never worn stiletto high heels shoes (that were more than 3” high) after seeing what my late Mother’s feet looked like in her early 40s... she had so much feet problems up until she passed away. When she got diabetes in her late 50s the doctor had to amputate her right foot, he said it was from wearing high heels for over 30 years. She passed 13 years later. ☹️😢

Shoes should not make your feet ache while your walking or even not walking in them, when you wear shoes that you have to squeeze into, that’s just asking for foot problems and health issues later in life. Squeezing into shoes reminds me when 15th-18th century Chinese women had their FEET BOUND (in turn reshaping and eventually growing their toes together) so their feet looked tiny and petite, like baby sized. Really sad. That’s like what happens when you squeeze your toes into shoes like these.
