The Australian Firefighters Calendar 2022 Is Out With More Shirtless Heroes And Adorable Animals (28 Pics)
Australian firefighters are doing God's work. And not only on but off duty as well. Continuing their tradition, the gang is releasing a charity calendar for 2022 to help animals in need.
In its 29th year, the Australian Firefighters Calendar has produced 6 editions: as always, everyone's favorite cats, dogs, horses, classic and mixed animal (featuring the country's wildlife) issues will be on offer. But to heat things up and for the first time ever, there is a Summer Edition calendar with firefighters enjoying the beaches and having fun in the sun. The inaugural version cover has been taken out by Australia's fittest firefighter Matt Haydon.
With such a long history of supporting important causes in the land down under, these heroes thought it was time to begin to take their efforts internationally. So the Australian Firefighters Calendar is teaming up with a well-known US-based organization, Greater Good Charities, and the sales of this year's calendar will support Greater Good Charities' Rescue Rebuild program, which helps to renovate animal shelters, domestic violence shelters, and homeless shelters to give a hand to mistreated pets and the people who care for them.

"The Greater Good Charities are so excited to be partnering with the Australian Firefighters Calendar, we have been a huge supporter of their work through our social media channels for years now," Lesley Cave, the Director of Partnerships at Greater Good Charities, told Bored Panda in a statement. "This will be the start of a long-lasting partnership on charity projects across the US."
For the first time in its 29-year history, the calendar will be printed outside Australia for the US market. The calendars will be printed in Dallas, Texas, and distributed for US, Canadian, South American, and Asian supporters.
"The US has been such a huge supporter of the Australian Firefighters Calendar over many years now. We are so happy to be in a position to begin donating to US-based charities now and into the future. To be partnering with an organization as well respected as Greater Good Charities is the opportunity we have been waiting for. It was really important to us that the product was printed in the US by an American company, employing American workers. For the Australian Firefighters, it's really exciting to be involved," David Rogers, the Director at the Australian Firefighters Calendar, added.
Awwww ❤ It's on the tip of my tongue, but does anyone know what this animal is called? (Is it an echidna?)
The idea to take the iconic calendar to the US is the direct result of goodwill between the two countries. "[Australians will never forget] the overwhelming support from the American people ... when we suffered through the worst bushfires in recent memory," the folks behind the project said. "The money that was raised by our US fans went to support native Australian animals that were severely injured. One of the incredible local-based charities supported by the calendar donation was the Byron Bay Wildlife Hospital."
From humble beginnings 2 years ago, a handful of passionate veterinary surgeons and nurses came together to establish the hospital, and through the determination of the local community in Byron Bay, they were able to raise enough money to build Australia's first mobile wildlife hospital!
"The support the Byron Bay Wildlife Hospital received from the US was phenomenal and it continues to this day. The funds have enabled us to start building another mobile hospital to support our wildlife in the event of further wildfires," Stephen Van Mil, the CEO at The Byron Bay Wildlife Hospital, said.
The amazing thing is that the Byron Bay Wildlife Hospital is just one of the many native animal welfare establishments that the calendar will support again this year.

He has a baby duck!! He must be perfect. It takes skill to hold a baby duck, and to get one to trust you in that manner.
Very handsome, my heart skipped a little. The man is very good looking too! ;)

I would like it better if there was more variety in shape and age. (But I guess its just the male version of a pin up calendar where all the woman are also young and hot.)
But BP wouldn't dare share those pictures here, and that's the problem with this.
If BP did put that up, it'd look like Webdriver Torso but in Dog-Vision.
A couple of those gentlemen are not just out of school. I would guess one or 2 are in their 40's
It's a firefighter calendar. There aren't a lot of older firefighters due to the physical stress of the job.
Not true. Some of the best flying firefighters are of older age. It's the experience that counts - a lot of firefighting operations require brains more than muscles!
#21 seems to have wisdom in the crinkles of his eyes. The captains are not the young kids.
I agree! How about a sexy 70, grey or bald REAL retired fireman?
Good comment. I agree
Please, stop the double standards. This male body image is impossible to achieve, and a sexualization of half-naked women (perhaps even on motorized vehicles?) would be perceived as old-fashioned and tacky. We need more dadbods!
I'll start posting some pics of my flabby self. And I agree.... there are no women firefighters in Australia?
There's one per shift per station. I'd hate to be them!

Why? Just because they work with men? Very toxic.
My dad was a fireman in Australia and yes it's a very toxic situation for the women. They generally don't stay long which is the same for all women in male dominated field. More toxic than you could imagine
Ummm....firefighters HAVE to be fit in order to do their jobs. Just like in the military. Stamina and strength are key aspects. Do you think the FDNY guys on 9/11 walked up dozens of floors while carrying equipment had dad bods?
In fairness I've seen firefighters who still have big bellies - they don't all look like this. Look at Strong Man competitions. Most of them have guts on them and not obvious musculature in this way. https://fitnessvolt.com/2019-worlds-strongest-man-final-results
343 New York Firefighters died on 9/11. More than 200 died as a result from firefighting medical complications related to 9/11. Nobody was complaing then about their big bellies.
No-one is complaining about them possibly having bellies are they? Isn't the point that they can be various shapes (within a limit) and yet still be strong and fit? A belly doesn't exclude that. Sorry, I'm confused.
I wasn't complaining about their bellies - just pointing out that some firefighters have them! They come in different shapes.

Most of those guys have guts because they're on HGH. Look it up.
What about the firefighters with bellies? They seriously do not all look like this.
If it is impossible to achieve, how did THEY achieve it? I admit genetics matter much, though.
Wasn't there a BP piece about this? Dehydration seemed to play a part IIRC. Wasn't it also that it's impossible to maintain at this standard long term?
Yup, if you go to a gym you'll see bods like that all the time, just guys who work out regularly and no doubt have a genetic predisposition to bulk up like that. Youth helps too!
yay, eugenics now!
Yeah, I used to date someone who had a six-pack that seemed completely genetic. As far as I know he never exercised and lived on alcohol and junk food. Great bod though.
My hubby, 62, has a natural six-pack, he's built like a spiderman action figure, and doesn't work out very hard anymore. Definitely some genetics there.
It's not impossible at all--and these men prove it. It may be unrealistic for some people, but it's literally not an impossible standard.
You won't find fire-fighters with dad bods and this is a fire-fighter calendar.
You will in the CFA, they accept all types.
Of course, and whilst yes they still have to be fit. The fact is that voluntary firefighters are only casual/part time and usually have a paid job already and don't have to deal with the physical demands on an almost daily basis. Most paid firefighters work full time and have to stay in tip top shape to handle every day emergencies.
What double standards? They are fire fighters, they must be in some shape to be agile... And nobody even noticing them, e looking at those kittens... and horses
The smiles are what melted my heart.
Said no one "ever "
What do you mean impossible to achieve? None of those men are models. They’re full time working fire fighters and they achieved it.
Get a grip lady!
The idea is to use that preconception of the stereotypical fireman and put a cute animal next to it to show what really matters. But the pictures really aren't feeling like it. The photographer made it about the men and not about the animals. In some you even almost miss them, like the cute kitty in the planter. Earlier editions were more succesful imho.
That's not the case at all.... If that was the case I'd rather just see a cute kitten wearing a firehat
i go to the gym four times a week. im in decent shape. after seeing this post, i feel like a fat sack
Not trying to sound creepy but I went to your profile, saw your picture and can confirm you are very attractive. Killer shirt btw
I'm sure you're just as gorgeous looking as these men, darlin. So what if you're not cut like these guys? You're still quite handsome 🖤🤘🖤🤘🖤
