Australian Firefighters Pose With Animals For 2020 Charity Calendar, And The Photos Are So Hot They May Start Fires
The perfect mix of manliness, hotness, and kind-hearted softness. Sizzling-hot bad boys with hearts of gold. Animal lovers with spines and abs of steel. There are many ways that I could describe Australian firefighters. But the fact of the matter is simple: they’re everyday heroes who save lives, don’t take off their superhero capes when the fire is out, and stand as an example of how to live your life.
This year, once again, the firefighters of Australia are inspiring us to aim for new heights with their 6 new calendars for 2020. Five of these calendars feature all sorts of animals: from cute kittens and puppies with boopable noses to horses, farm animals, and wildlife. Did I mention that the animal-friendly firefighters are showing off their bulging muscles and sculpted bodies? Oh, and they’re doing it all for charity. Talk about all-in-one.
Scroll down, upvote your favorite pics, and remember to share with all of your friends. In case you need an extra dose of Australian hotness mixed with sweetness, check out some of the previous firefighter calendars featured on Bored Panda here, here, and here.

The Australian Firefighters Calendar has been a tradition for the past 27 years. Since 1993, firefighters from Australia’s Urban, Rural, Armed Forces, Aviation, and corporate services have worked together to aid charity, make people swoon with their Adonis-like bodies, and inspire others to get in shape.
am i the only one who noticed the kitten just poking his head up cuz hes shy?
However, the 2020 calendar is different in one way: it also features some firefighters from France, as well as Germany. Next year, the joy will be global, as the first-ever International Firefighters Calendar will be launched, so mark that fact down on your 2020 calendar.
Charity is the name of the game when it comes to the Australian Firefighters Calendar. This year, the flame-destroyers decided to support small, local Australian charities that focus on helping native, rescue and therapy animals.
This reminds me of Beast with the birds from the animated Beauty and the Beast ❤
Among these charities are Healing Hooves (that helps children suffering from Autism and Asperger’s syndrome), Currumbin Wildlife Hospital (that cares for injured Australian animals), as well as BackTrack (which uses cattle dogs to help disaffected youth get their lives back on track).
What do you think of the 2020 calendars, dear Pandas? Would you hang one of them up on your wall at home or at work? Which photo was your favorite?
He's an alpine dingo - his name is Marrok. He lives at Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary on the Gold Coast - so he's not exactly a dog. Dingoes aren't really ever completely tameable - they'll accept pets for food, but don't really enjoy the attention.
All these guys, bless you for doing what you do. Seriously firefighters are simply the best. God give first responders a special place to rest at days end.

To me, any man / woman is 100% more attractive if they have compassion for animals.
And are fire fighters from Australia!!! LOL
don't get me wrong, i Don't care about hot guy on calendar, but i Wonder why this is ok but hot girls on car is not? what's the difference? i remember a place i work we have a girl who have that kind of calendar in her office (we even have a gay guy who has that kind of calender in his office) but when i try to put a calender of this kind with girl it was a no-no?
You are right, Kjorn, but so is Rissie. The difference lies in the wholesomeness of these photos and that women "will think no less of them whatsoever". These firefighters are gorgeous men, but they are not made to pose in sexually explicit ways. Even in advertisements for make-up for women I often see that pseudo-bedroom expression, void of any and all personality, that seems to say "do I look acceptably attractive/sexually inviting now ?", and it annoys me and I simply take for granted that only hetero men were involved with choosing what photos to use. It also bothers me that so often here on BP, so many women find it OK to comment freely on men's appearance any way they want, when they probably would have reacted negatively on the same kind of behaviour had the genders been reversed. ALL PEOPLE DESERVE RESPECT. I am going to buy the calendar with dogs, and I am toying with the idea of trying to get something like this done where I live, I am sure it would be a tremendous success.
It’s good to see men being treated as wholesome, dignified, strong and compassionate. They are always made to look like weak idiots these days and it’s hard to look at.
I agree, Monica. Men are persons, women are objects, they are put on this earth to serve and to please; too many women are willing to play this role.
Well said Monika.
Very true in almost every other situation women are sexualised; the men in these photos are not and they are doing it for a good cause.
Absolutelly right. One-sided thinking of nowadays sexually horny feminists.
In my opinion, both are okay in general, but neither belongs at work. (And objectifying is NOT okay if it affects your behaviour toward real, live humans.) If your job is allowing objectifying photos of men, then they should allow yours as well.
I read "If your job is allowing objectifying photos of men" at first as you having a job title that meant you allow objectifying men as your profession, haha.
Kjorn, you are 100% correct. There is objectifying going on in both men and women. These ladies are trying a little too hard to justify it. If women didn't objectify men than there would be no male strippers, there would be no Thunder from Down Under or Chippendales.
Do enlighten me Carrie. I know I have never looked at a male stripper and thought, " gee, I bet he has a nice personality". So what is it that you are thinking when looking at a male stripper?
Carrie de Luka is spot on with their comment about the arousal thing, 100% of men that go to strip clubs with woman taking off their clothes are there to be aroused and not to have fun watching a “show”... and yes the majority of the women have a different reaction to male strippers then men do with women strippers!
Still not the same, Sterrinatu.

Well, Sterrinatu, as you asked. Women generally go to strip clubs for a laugh and not to be aroused. Yes, some women find it sexy but the typical atmosphere in such an establishment isn’t one of arousal and longing, the kind that reliably fills the air in a female strip club. Women are typically cracking up, shielding their eyes in mock horror or exaggeratingly objectifying male dancers to make their friends laugh. Yes, I've been to both. I wasn't making a judgement about how people react either - just that it's different.

You do know that women have entirely different responses to male strippers etc then men do to women though, right?

Here's the difference: Women are more 'turned on ' by the imagination. So, seeing a smiling man who's not completely naked makes us wonder what he's like; what's behind the scenes. Maybe that takes us to the next level. Men are more turned on by what's right in front of them. We're two different genders. No complaining will ever change it. It's just the way it is.
I’m a woman and I agree to 100% with you Kjorn! And that’s what struck me too. But why is it so wrong to look at pleasurable humans? We admire art - and are allowed to. Ordinary people have the same access to a Rembrandt as to one of these artworks irl.
The animals here take away sexual points and add cute points :) And hot girls on cars can be okay (at your desk) depending on how suggestive the poses get. (Just my opinion)
As far as I'm concerned, I see a real difference: These photos show us very beautiful firemen but none has a posture with character "agicheuse" or "sexual", they are simply very beautiful. In contrast to "hot" women's calendars as you say, who for the moment have almost always a posture "agicheuse" or "sexual". What could imply that for a man, it is normal for a woman to have this kind of posture and this is where I think it becomes problematic and we fall into the problem of the woman object.
I think you are making the mistake that I see so often which is assuming that the only sexual poses are the ones women make. It's like that bullshit argument about how female super heroes are photographed ass-out. Yeah, but the guys are posed in ways to make the women swoon. There's a reason they drop and do 20 before the photos. The muscle pumps are for the ladies, not the men. To suggest these shirtless buff firemen are put in this calendar for wholesome reasons at all is insane.
The question of posture is really splitting hairs. These guys are as cynically posed as any female model, they have just selected different poses that are more likely to appeal to women. A smile and a hint of nurture are photographic tools just like a smouldering glance and an arched back.

You want the non politically correct answer? Because women and men are physically unequal and testosterone in men tends to the average dude to objectify and sexualize women to something less than human. Now that doesn't go for every man just like not every woman will not have feelings like this about these dudes. But most women will look at this, find the attractive fireman cute, especially with the adorable animals next to them, (there's a reason they are there and that their infectious smiles are more attractive than their bodies) and will think no less of them whatsoever. There are differences and we have to embrace those in order to become equals. Bring on the shit storm in 5, 4, 3....
"the average dude to objectify and sexualize women to something less than human". Most of what you wrote is okay, but I think with this line you are just projecting.
"estosterone in men tends to the average dude to objectify and sexualize women to something less than human" - if you're a guy: speak for yourself, if you're a girl, I feel sorry for you that your reality is so warped.

I think the difference is that in most situations, men are in positions of power. Part of that power has allowed them to objectify women in the workplace, among othef places.

Because this is for charity dickhead. Perhaps one day there will be a closer to even ratio of female and male firefighters for them to do a women's Australian firefighters calendar, but at the moment there isn't.
Imagine the uproar if they were topless woman...
So you don't think men should be able to walk around in public without a shirt? As it happens, I agree with you. If I have to wear a shirt, you should have to wear a shirt too. As for this particular calendar - I'm sure you've seen the "sexy woman in lingerie posing on classic cars" calendar. Sex sells. Firemen are sexy. Models in lingerie are sexy.
Omg, you must be a feminist. But in a way you're right. Women's breasts are mammary glands meant to suckle the young. That's what they're for. Men are the ones who have made them play toys. I don't mind men not wearing shirts but I sure as hell don't want to look at women without shirts. Lol, lesbians would love to see women not wearing shirts. Big BIG mistake for women to go shirtless.
Why should ANYONE have to wear a shirt? We are just enslaved by an archaic, silly, subjective, white-culture meme. And as for "not letting children" get "corrupted" by seeing bare-breasted women? HTF do these prudes think the human race survived? Do they understand what a "mammary gland" is?
If they were topless women they would have had quite different expressions, they would have been made to adopt sexually inviting positions and it would not even cross your mind to let your children anywhere near it!
don't worry you'll never be asked

SELTY NICE ALT ACCOUNTS FAGGOT
Well topless WOMEN would make it pornography and not allowed on BoardPanda (or facebook, instagram, etc— you get the point)
Would it be ok if they were wearing bikinis then - or would this be frowned on? And I'd challenge the boundaries of it being pornographic. If a topless man or woman is being used to appear sexually attractive then fine - but isn't that the purpose here?
To me, any man / woman is 100% more attractive if they have compassion for animals.
