Audi Asks Photographer To Photograph Their $160,000 Sports Car, He Uses $40 Miniature Toy Car Instead
381Kviews
When Audi commissioned photographer Felix Hernandez Rodriguez (previously here) to photograph their sports car Audi R8, we knew that something wasn’t right. Turns out, he shot the $160,000 car by using a $40 scale model!
The most amazing part? He didn’t even use Photoshop. Everything was done using miniature models, props, lighting and in-camera effects.
If you’re starting to feel like you cannot trust anything you see anymore, you are not being paranoid. Check out our previous post ‘15+ Pics That Show Photography Is The Biggest Lie Ever‘ to see what we mean. (h/t)

I'm sorry, what?! He didn't use photoshop?! There's clearly traces of photoshop all around there.
"In camera effects"
Yeah, I'm calling bullshit on "in camera effects". Of course there was post work done on these, and there's no shame in that because it's all part of the process. The "no photoshop" claims are just an annoying trend.
Oh? Where are those traces? The photos showing the headlights "on" may be indications of PhotoShop work, but even those could be evidence of skilled model building. Model car builders were adding working headlights to model cars decades ago. Depends on if the model car was handbuilt from a kit, or if it is one those highly detailed, die-cast models.
Oh geez ... well I dunno ... the obvious color balance, levels, dodging and burning?? Don't get me wrong, they look great but they're very clearly been corrected and retouched in some editing program.
@Matija Jasarov did you not see the first picture of the photographer dressing the scene? He did these outside. The clouds could easily be real from the clouds shown in that photo.
lol the clouds and mouintains in the photo done in the basement?
I would have asked for the car. Have gone for a drive with the real one and made these kick ass picks with the model :)
pretty sure the headline is bullshit
If you take a look at his website, you'll se he's specialized in taking pictures of miniatures. I also call bulshit.
