I Explore The Strength, Flexibility, And Power Of Human Body In These Portraits (NSFW)
The Athletic Implied Nudes series is an exploration of the human body under muscle stress— understanding the athletic body’s strength, flexibility, and power. Clean backgrounds, hard lighting, and black and white photos work together to eliminate distractions and highlight the muscle groups and the beautiful body of my subjects.
Beginning with Mixed Martial Artists and Boxers, I have developed my studio photography technique to capture rapidly firing muscle groups at high speed in front of the lens. The resulting instinct for timing fight photography has lead to an ability to freeze these professional athletes at the peak of their motion. Discovering a better understanding of the human form and body types with this project has transitioned into my commercial fitness work, maximizing composition, and positioning to best showcase the human form.
I have been working on this portrait photography project slowly over the last couple of years and have met incredible people from all over. I am a photographer working out of London, Ontario, Canada and I primarily photograph fitness and fights.

No, he could kick the heavy bag all night. Experienced guy. He was going all out to bend the bag.
Load More Replies...Interesting. Of course, this only works with athletes. You have to be able to SEE the muscles at work. Wonderful photography.
Thank you. Yes, all athletes but not all of them are super lean, if you put the body under enough stress the muscles come out.
Load More Replies...Amazing! The light and composition, the moment of contraction or strech of the muscles is mesmerazing
Wonderfull pictures! Next time, explore Ehlers -Danlos syndrom, we are good athletes in flexibility lol 20180402_2...1ae5b2.jpg
did people understand sarcasm and humour here? no obviously
Load More Replies...Ballet dancers are so strong and athletic! I always wonder how they perform in traditional sports.
Load More Replies...i wonder how these would look in colour and if they'd have the same impact? something about black and white images that removes the some times distraction of colour and leaves behind the true subject matter.
That was the plan with the black and white and the plain background.
Load More Replies...For some of the images yes, for some no.
Load More Replies...Photography like this reminds me why I loved sculpture. Your work is just phenomenal; please keep it up!
Wow! Those are amazingly beautiful photos... The way the body contours seem to flow reminds me of ancient Greek masterpieces or maybe Michelangelo - and embarrassing as it may be, the pictures create the same urge to touch (rather than "just" see) to truly appreciate the perfection, to feel the smoothness of the lines. Entirely non-creepy, I swear! :) The strength and energy that radiates from the images is just mind-blowing. Thanks for sharing!
Very beautiful pics, but I don't understand why women have to hide their breasts with an object or arm. This is the body.
A trained human body looks so gorgeous! I used to be one of them...now I could puke if I look at myself nekkid...ugh.
