What do artists Robert DeJesus and Lance Phan have in common? They both turn strangers into awesome characters. However, while DeJesus does anime caricatures , Phan creates portraits that are much more Pixar-like.

From a girl enjoying the beach with her doggo to a guy strumming his guitar, these images look so awesome, you could easily mistaken them for stills of a feature-length animation movie. Scroll down to see the stunning transformations for yourselves and vote for your favorite ones.

P.S. Lance does commissions, so contact him via Instagram or Facebook and who knows, maybe you'll get Pixar-ed too!

Everyone keeps pointing out that people with Asian features look less Asian. You guys know that one of the staples of Pixar animation is the big eyes, right....?

Me thinks there was a wee bit of digital liposuction involved here. I wonder if the subject wanted a more 'Hollywood' look vs her photo.

Hmm, this is the only one that misses the natural beauty of the subject. The other ones enhance the beauty.

Its the hair not having extra colour layers and flatter. And the face expression is different, shes looking into the camera normally smiling however in the edit shes looking into the distance with a fake disappearing smile, makes her seem worried/upset giving her less glow about her. The artist doesn't seem to like copying eye placement, most likely thinks it gives them more character or its more natural to not look at the camera or something but when the picture is already taken with the person looking into the camera you can't change that unless you change their whole posture, as it makes it look like they don't want to be photographed. People don't need "character enhancement" they already have character and do what they do because that's who they are, changing that kills the image.

I didn't see any older people, wrinkles too hard to do; or are older people not cool?
