All artists have a lot in common. Whether you're a comic artist or a painter - you still experience similar situations like lack of inspiration or constantly being asked "Will you draw me?"
To celebrate all the artists out there, Bored Panda has put together a list of hilarious comics that only artists will understand. Keep on scrolling to see what we're talking about and don't forget to vote for your favorites!

This is great depiction of the evolution of art. You started with the evolution from about 1850 and on, would have loved you to go back even further.
5) wearing a beret and never shutting up about wine 6) talking about how you've never had boyfriends, only lovers
The landscape gallery will be expanding and reopening as the panorama gallery.
That's disappointing if a lot of people really had that experience. I took an art course in college, and it was very helpful (and our model had a nice body, and she was actually attending art school on a different campus so she walked around during breaks to look at our work and give suggestions), I learned a lot and more importantly improved exponentially.
I hate how hard it is to develop a style. Mine right now looks like a two-year-old having a seizure
Shading with hallucinogenic lines is thing i want to try now :)
It's even worse when you have 30+ layers in your Photoshop file...
I have stuck my brushes in my coffee more times than I care to admit.
You've managed to capture my artist life perfectly. I hate when my friends go, "Why do they only have one eye?" Because anime eyes are hard to draw and I'm a perfectionist.
Haha look at what she's writing... also, I'm twelve years old, and when I was little I wanted to become an artist, but my dad said the they don't make good money, sooooooo that crushed my dreams...
As someone who is currently persuing a career in both art and science, I say FOLLOW YOUR DREAMS. Because most of the time they don't go away, and you may be wishing you'd worked on it more when you're older. Of course, its always good to have a backup plan (hence my science course), to support you in the rough times :)
Load More Replies...my parents told me I was TOO smart for art and they wanted me in Law School. I was good at it, but quit school just to work and have a family. Now I'm a stay at home Mom learning graphic design on her own for the last 3years! :D
I studied architecture in college, but later decide to be a comic artist.I make money with commission jobs and sale royalties. When asked on how can I survive this, the answer is simply you have to draw it beautifully and like any other job you have to do it everyday.
That's completely true. However, it can be put on the fridge door!
This is followed by a 3 phases: #1) Uncontrollable breathing #2) Impatiently waiting and looking at the screen for 10 minutes, hoping it will be just fine #3) Accepting your fate #4BONUS) You will think about this mistake for the rest of the week
While drawing, I will hold it in my hand, making gestures on my tablet. When I'm not drawing though, I'll put it in its stand.
Well, you can still say you have drawn a bunch of study lines :D You might have erased them and not having evidence to show, but you've done it anyway!
Doing CTRL + Z is probably the most common. So is CTRL + Y, but we all know we can't get back that perfect line, once it's erased.
Very true. I always imagined something from a RP (roleplay) and I've planned to draw it out but it comes out childish
I think most, no matter hwo confident they are, are on thin ice if you say a thing like in panel 3
In my case, I've gotten positive reactions so far. But remember - if you wanna make people percieve your drawing as a present, make sure you don't just give them paper. Put your work in a frame if it's for, for example, your teacher, or a protective plastic foil if it's for a friend.
True story! Every time I doodle during a meeting at work, it's "Oh you draw? Lemme see! Who's this?"
Nothing like a comic that doesn't add all words to create a normal statement
Cellphone voice recording app? Might also double as sleep talk recorder.
I'm a mix of this, "wow I've really improved" and "wow I don't sick anymore "
I get that problem all the time! I often prefer to draw the face at an angle where there's only one eye to draw.
