I repair computers. Had to go onsite once to fix a printer setup. The man's wife was bedridden and there were a couple of nurses there discussing her treatments. Of course the printer was in the bedroom (Where else would it be!). I was working on it while they decided it was time to change her catheter. Why couldn't they wait 10 minutes for me to leave???

Some care people lose the ability to grasp privacy issues after a while. Some people who are being cared for end up the same way. It's more you that they should've considered. They could've just asked you to step out, but, i guess routine for them...

My husband had something similar happen where a lady came into the room he was working in dressed in knickers and suspenders. He was so embarrassed and just kept his head down and carried on working. It's a dangerous thing to do - my husband is a very decent man but what if he hadn't been?

You know the funny thing is, @CrunChewy McSandybutt almost said the same thing as I did, just played with words and put it nicely! ... I don't regret what I said, coz whatever I said, is based on my personal experience, I have not met each and every men in the world, but I have met many, and those "many" make my world, so I used the word "most", I am all in for a healthy discussion, but using words like "moronic" doesn't helps. I will again say I am on biased, its just the experience I had so far. World is full of all sort of people, may be I am getting the bad share of them only.

Oh forgot to say. I didn't really like this format for story telling at all. We could have done without the 20 pictures of a guy pretending to fix a dish washer. It really is okay to just put words in a post. We promise not to all leave and go somewhere else. Even worse was to put memes as though that made it better. I think if they had just put a picture of an oven, a fridge, a dryer, and so on it would have looked better.

I used to work at Sears Parts and Service so I can relate. One customer had bought a brand new generator. Seems the sons in the family were competitive BMX and Motocross riders. He said they'd just returned from a competition in Eastern Washington and were perplexed that the generator stopped working after one use. Our tech discovered sand in the fuel intake and air exchange. When I told the customer that his warranty didn't cover it..he yelled and whined. I said he would have to pay for it. That's when he marched over to the main store and convinced the original salesman to replace it for free. Salesman never checked with us.

Daughter naked. For goodness, the guy is a fixer. SHE was not a Martian, had all the known human features. HE would have seen ANYTHING before. Published in Men's magazines. Why bother, should she have wet the floor instead ?

@Ladies and Gentlemen, I've seen you around. You seem nice enough, and I'm not bothered by anything you say. This , though? The very fact that you state you're not biased means you KNOW that you're biased. It's not OK to say things like that. In this instance, I feel like you deserve all the downvotes.

@Nora Almeida - First of all thanks for such detailed response, yes, I accepted this as a mistake and already made an apology in another comment, coz this is not who I am and I don't like to hurt people feeling or beliefs no matter the context. I came out wrong and I accept that.

Moral of this story: Don't hire this guy as he will yap to anyone who'll listen about you, the job you hired him to do and any potentially embarrassing information he can gather on you.

Really? The person didn’t mention any names, so he didn’t expose them. So the moral of the story is to remind questionable people to be decent (not to be naked; or not to pee with the guy in the same room; to know exactly when the repairman shows up, so as to be prepared and not be embarrassed like what happened to the wife whose husband called the repairman without seemingly telling her when the guy will show up)

Or, just playing devil advocate here, he was paid in cash then back at the office he decided to fill out the forms for warranty work (double dipping) when he realized the unit was stolen.
