While substantial research shows vaccines are safe and vital in disease prevention, refusal of childhood vaccines at the doctor is on the rise. It could be argued that having these famous allies has emboldened anti-vaxxer groups, whatever the reason never shy away from sharing their opinions online. When science isn't on your side it can make these arguments tricky, but as you’ll see in these examples that doesn't stop them from trying. Some people tried to embellish their medical background, while others could benefit from a class in logic.

Does anyone remember "Chicken PoxParties"? =or ws that just a local thing to where I lived?
I 've always lived in Texas and that was what my Mom and my friends' moms did to make sure we caught it young and then got over it. Maybe because it's easier to make small kids keep socks on their hands or something. Because the older you are when you catch it, the more likely you are to die from it. My daughters' father didn't get chicken pox till he was in his late teens/early twenties and it almost killed him. My daughter never had chicken pox, but she did get the chicken pox vaccination. She got every single vaccination there is. Including the one for Human Papilloma Virus, which can cause cervical cancer in women. She is the healthiest person I know. She's 23 now, married, and a practicing R.N. who specializes in Critical Care Dyalisis. Before getting her nursing license she had to get a whole bunch of other vaccines, just in case she ended up with a patient with malaria or Ebola or something else we don't normally run into here.

A foster daughter (15) had a sister that didn't get her vaccines- at approx 3 months she got exposed to chicken pox from her brother who got it at school. This little Angel remains a baby and had many medical issues- she passed at age 13. Her Asia family did not believe in them either- sadly her brother got a serious case mumps- he was rendered sterile. School boards have allowed unvaccinated kids to go to public schools if they have a "religious" objection. I feel we are all in danger of the consequences the stupidity of others will bring towards us.The only antivaxers I know personally are barely literate Facebook warriors & unemployeed moms with 0 experience on the subject. I have never met a well educated professional or a doctor who is against vaccines. Having opinion on a subject you know nothing about is one thing,but endagering others with your stupidity is just selfish.I personally believe people who refuse vaccines should be banned from all medical care for life- since they know more than doctors, because they watched YouTube videos maybe they should treat themselves with herbs and potions like in the ancient times when people lived until 35-40. A lot of people don't bother with the flue shot because in general a healthy young person should be able to fight it off. But there's no reason not to do the infectious disease shots, even if it's traumatic. Also, just getting half doses is the same with not getting them at all. Educate yourself and others on the subject, and remember that you can get the vaccines even as an adult, when parents have no say in what you do. It was on BP the other day too, how a young woman got her shots after she became an adult.

Regardless of what this site says about anti-vaxers Covid19 is an experimental vaccine that was rushed to production in record time and have no idea of the long term side-effects. A lot of people don't bother with the flue shot because in general a healthy young person should be able to fight it off. But there's no reason not to do the infectious disease shots, even if it's traumatic. Also, just getting half doses is the same with not getting them at all. Educate yourself and others on the subject, and remember that you can get the vaccines even as an adult, when parents have no say in what you do. It was on BP the other day too, how a young woman got her shots after she became an adult.
