Working in retail, in the last week we've had a half eaten hot cross bun, half a pretzel, and various empty drinks bottles/cups left by customers. There's a bin literally at the entrance of the shop (originally there for customers to discard tissue they'd use to clear excess hand gel)
I once went up to a customer, pointed to his KFC trash he left behind and said "Excuse me sir, is that yours?" Sometimes I miss being mean to customers who deserve it. The only part of that job I really miss.
Had some assholes leave an entire order of McDonald's in the cart, half-eaten food and all... and a used diaper. Left it out in the hot sun for me to take care of. Demanded a raise, and never got it.
Because retail workers aren't real people with feelings, duh! Having worked retail, I can confirm seeing this on a regular basis. Very frustrating.

When I am with my children and grandchildren I love to pick the clothes fold or hang them, it passes the time, we may be there for 2 hours. My family does not do make a mess in stores
It is like this in craft stores. They shove their unwanted drinks and food behind stuff. And in these particular stores there are many aisles of very small things, so if one gets turned over, so much is ruined. I told the manager about it and she said "Okay Ill go take a look" and when I came back in 3 weeks later, it was all still there.
I used to work in a coffee shop inside a bookshop. People would pick up magazines with all the freebies, not pay for them, open them up and read them like it was a library. They would do the same with a pile of books, often resting their coffee cup on it, staining the books and magazines so they were unsellable. We had to go around and collect them regularly and leave them in a basket for the bookshop staff to deal with. They lost so much merch that way, it was.awful.

So many things that drive me crazy on here. But your lucky to drive, have a car, have friends, have a job, and be alive. Remember that.

The only reason you might feel the need to shame these people is because modern society has normalized disregard for authority, and thereby encourages disregard for the law as well as social mores, or else you simply want to feel good about yourself by pointing out flaws in others. Either way, you are whining rather than doing what is necessary to stop behaviours like this.
It drives my husband batty sometimes, but when I see cups at the mall/carts in the parking lot that are going to hit cars or block spaces/ perishable food on shelves I take a second to fix it. Yes I know some people get paid to do it but those people usually also have 1,000 other duties. IDK, it feels like most people don't care about others and that's the root of most of these. (The rest like the phone screens are just funny but I couldn't live with)
