Maybe it is in the movies only, but in American movies people always put their legs (with shoes!) ok n the table. Even on the bed. Disgusting.
Totally just a movie thing. We also don't wear shoes around the house, unless slipper count, we don't get our paper in our robes, hang up without saying bye, or cook large breakfasts and not eat them. Media does it to save time between takes.

This doesn't bother me as I don't see it as impacting anyone (assuming the tables are cleaned regularly), you should be far more bothered by the number of people who don't wash their hands after the toilet and the surfaces they touch which aren't cleaned (sofa arm rests), or lice from the head rest!
Maybe you enjoy the smell of foot stank while you drink your coffee, but the rest of us don't.

My public library doesn't allow people to take their shoes off and it makes me laugh so much reading negative reviews online from people being mad about being told to put their shoes on. Like, oh did you pay to be there, in THE LIBRARY? Our library system is now completely free btw, no fees for membership and not even any late fees.
I'd love to see a manager come by and slap those feet off the table! And if he protests bar him from coming in ever again.

So many things that drive me crazy on here. But your lucky to drive, have a car, have friends, have a job, and be alive. Remember that.

The only reason you might feel the need to shame these people is because modern society has normalized disregard for authority, and thereby encourages disregard for the law as well as social mores, or else you simply want to feel good about yourself by pointing out flaws in others. Either way, you are whining rather than doing what is necessary to stop behaviours like this.
It drives my husband batty sometimes, but when I see cups at the mall/carts in the parking lot that are going to hit cars or block spaces/ perishable food on shelves I take a second to fix it. Yes I know some people get paid to do it but those people usually also have 1,000 other duties. IDK, it feels like most people don't care about others and that's the root of most of these. (The rest like the phone screens are just funny but I couldn't live with)
