It's often the little things that tip us over the edge. Back pain remedy ending up on the bottom shelf. Bananas being both overripe and underripe... Whether the universe has conspired against someone or they simply have to deal with other people's stupidity, it only takes so much to ruin a perfectly fine day.

Disappointed and angry, people turn to the Internet. Here, they're posting photos of the things that drive them crazy, hoping that someone will share their pain. And who are we to let them down? Bored Panda has put together a list of pics to prove just how annoying everyday situations can get, so continue scrolling and upvote your (least) favorite entries.

And if you're into sadomasochism, check out our earlier list of mildly infuriating pictures as well.

And if you leave at 12.00 without even having seen anyone you get a bill for "not showing up" On the other hand if you go out to investigate what's happening a nurse starts yelling at you to stay in that room because you're interfering with the routine and that's why it's no wonder they are running behind.

I once had an eye specialist (the only one for my particular issue in the entire state) who scheduled all appointments for the entire day at 9AM, but they didn't tell you that when you make the appointment. You show up at 9AM to a tiny, overcrowded waiting room and wait the entire day as patients slowly disappear one-by-one. I found out about two hours in while chatting with a group of elderly individuals that this is how this doctor does things and they don't mind because they're all retired and get to hang out for the day. I didn't get seen until 2PM. I was livid.

I've got friends in just about every state, and if I personally don't, I've got a network of friends with the same neuro condition that screws with your eyes, so we all have opthomalogists or neuro-opths, which of course is more difficult to find. I can see if anyone has one close, but into another state if you'd like. I'm personally waiting to see an opthomalogist because the office I go to made me see an optometrist first.

My Dad handles this by saying to the doctor, " My time is as valuable as yours. On my next appointment t If you are later than 5 minutes I will leave and then find another physician. " He hasn't had to get a new doctor yet.

I know how this can be frustrating, but I work in a doctors' office and the providers always run behind--not because they're fooling around or are neglectful, in fact, the opposite! They squeeze in people who complain of being sick, never rush their appointments, and go over appointment times when the situation requires it. I know it sucks to wait and gets annoying, but I promise that not all doctors make you wait to make money off of you. In fact, sometimes it's due to an emergency. Once, I had a very elderly patient who stopped breathing and we had to call emergency services to rush him to the hospital. I went into the next patient's examine room and apologized for the delay and explained that we had an emergency, and she just said, "well what about me? how much longer do I have to wait? My jaw hurts." SIGH. So I just wanted to say I know it's not great to make patients wait, but thank you to those patients who are on time and who are understand why we cant always be on time ):

l care for my brother who has an intellectual disability..he gets really irritated when he has had to wait for sometime AFTER the due appointment..l try to tell him patience please, but he doesn't do 'patience very well when it's eating into his routine time of doing something else he prefers..now l do understand why a/our Dr could be running late..hell, they have to squeeze in somewhere their lunch (more often eaten at their desk) a loo break or 3 and so forth, but alas many people forget their doctors are human beings as well..me, if he's running behind schedule then I'm fine..l usually bring some crocheting with me to keep me occupied waiting, but alas, people with disabilities don't always have that concept of patience and waiting..

I was actually FORGOTTEN when I brought my son in for a sick appointment. 4:30 open appointment and after an hour waiting....waiting....I opened the door to a DARK office!!! Thankfully a single Dr. remained in her office down the hall and around the corner and responed to my HELLOOOOOO is anyone here!! Of course she blamed the nurse for not flipping the "flag" outside the exam room notifying there was a patient. Note:....flag was flipped.

Got them beat.. I showed up for a 9am appointment and had not seen anyone by noon. I was waiting for the results of a test my son had. When I attempted to leave, the doctor finally emerged from his office and got belligerent with me. When I called his business partner to complain, he said there was nothing he could do since the Jackass was a senior partner. The A**hole even went so far as to send me a letter saying that I could not return to his offices because I was "being difficult." The justice came when I wrote a scathing review on Yelp, the ADA and the BBB. Others soon followed suit and they were out of business in less than a year...

Back when I got my current GP, c1997, we would get a new Dr every time we moved from east end of town to west end of town. P transport ducked then and now. However c2000, brain drain due to Dr pay caps caused extremely low Dr/patient ratios, still felt to this day. My 1st born didn't have a Dr from age 6 to 16, cause no one would take her. My Dr used to be super late when I first started, but after a few years, something must have chgd, cause it's not more than 1/2 hour now. Also my daughters Dr doesn't make app in advance. You have to call them when they open at 9, and hope you get through in time to get one of the spots.

Yup. My record is 2 hours, 55 minutes in a freezing room. Had already put on the paper gown, too. Felt sure that the doctor or a nurse would come in as soon as I got dressed, then leave so I could get back in the gown, and I'd have to start all over again.

Stick your head out if you haven't been seen within 15-20 minutes. In busy clinics if separate staff are putting patients in rooms, and then keep all the doors shut for privacy concerns, patients can get "misplaced". It's not cool, but it can happen!

In the US, the patient's satisfaction with the doctor often makes a huge difference in how they get paid. A letter of complaint for being treated like garbage can affect their compensation, especially if they're run by a corporate health system.

after waiting for more than an hour at my neurologist appt and then having a patient with an appt scheduled AFTER mine get called before me, I told the receptionist that I was cancelling my appt and would be changing doctors. This wasn't the first time something like this had happened. I went on to firmly tell her that my time was every bit as valuable as the doctor's and I was giving serious thought to sending HIM a bill for wasting my time! (While I was firm, I was not rude--I know it was not her fault. It's apalling & unethical that patients are scheduled as little as 10-15 minutes apart--what level of care is that?!)

I wouldn't wait for an hour and a half. Twenty minutes later and I'm in the hallway demanding at least a reason for being made to wait that long. If I've made an appointment it's usually several weeks to a month in advance and they need to have a damn good reason for being late. Of course, my doctor's office usually makes it a habit to let their patients know when the doctor is running late so it's normally not an issue

My first pregnancy I went to a gyno with 5 drs and they made you see them all in rotation for the pregnancy (didn't know who would be on call for delivery). One Dr was ALWAYS at least an hour late. Once I was sitting there on the exam table, NAKED (in the paper gown) for almost 2 hours. They were all early appointments too. After 3 times I refused to see that Dr, and I switched offices after the birth.

It's frustrating, but doctors can't control the questions that patients ask which is usually what holds them up and makes them late to see the other patients. BUT that's not to say there aren't s****y offices out there. Had a GP appointment. I was the only one there and it still took them over 30mins to see me, then another 30 for the nurse to get back in to the room to do another test that took all of 5 minutes.

I would have started looking for someone at 9:00. I had a dental appt. at a dentist I had not seen before. They stuck me in a room and I waited and waited for someone, even a nurse to acknowledge I was still waiting. In the meantime, I could see through the door several personnel were standing around laughing loudly. I finally got up and asked them when someone was going see me. They had the nerve to tell me that there had been an emergency and they were behind. They could have told me that 45 minutes earlier. I never went back.

I had a family doc years ago who booked people for 10-minute appointments, and in exchange there was NO waiting. If you needed more time than 10 minutes, you booked it in advance. If it was something awful, he would send you to a better place to get taken care of (this was a large university medical center). It was great, I could be in and out in 15 minutes total, and for routine care 10 minutes is plenty. I miss that doc, but I moved away.

Surely you can find a new doctor. If they did not respect you enough to at least touch base with info as to why you are being left to cool your heels, how long it will be, and if a long time still, offer you another appointment, you would not want their medical care. Probably don’t care about that either buddy!!

Assuming there wasn't some extraordinary circumstance, in this case, you have to "vote with your feet" and find a new doctor.

My son's a lawyer. When this happens he sends a bill to the Dr. for his time. Because he's a lawyer they usually pay it.

I have been forgotten before in a room. After 2 hours of waiting I finally opened the door and asked. They told me they didn't realize someone was in there.

This wouldn't happen to be a V.A. hospital would it? I once waited 2 hours, just took a nap while i waited.

Very common in urgent care. I will go out there and ask after a while. It's ridiculous how they make people wait especially if they have appointments.

I'd bother someone about it. I've heard sometimes people get forgotten.

Why would you get this far and be kept waiting?? I would have thrown a wobbly after the first 30 minutes. This is just rude and ignorant.

In Santo Domingo, everybody does this. But if you arrive late, you'll lose your turn.

So you take a picture of a place we do no know, instead of searching for that doc or nurse?

I work in a doctors office. Not saying all are like this but our nurses work really hard. They have a LOT of behind the scenes stuff going on. I work in both an OB/GYN and Gastroenterology office. Both doctors are on call constantly and the OB doctor has to leave a lot to deliver babies. I know waiting is aggravating but be considerate to the employees because a lot of it is stuff they cannot help. Not with all doctor offices but most.

Depending on the location, your nurse has probably not peed or eaten because he/she is ridiculously overworked and underpaid, your doctor is probably the only one for 6 to 20 people all at once and is required to go over every chart with a fine tooth comb to make sure no mistakes are made that can severely harm the patient, your x-ray tech (ME!) is dragging feet tired from working the 6th 12 hour shift in a row and is expected to radiate people safely, etc. And all of us are greeted to patients that hate us. Seriously. Nothing but rudeness and venom and looking down on all of us as if YOU always know better than the ridiculous amount of school we had to attend to obtain our positions. I sometimes think working healthcare is worse than fast food. People are meaner.
