Well, this lady from Japan has, and she took matters of re-creating the Japanese recipes from the best anime films into her own hands.
Instagram user En93kitchen creates meals not only from Studio Ghibli movies such as "Kiki's Delivery Service" or "My Neighbor Totoro," but also from other famous anime and these types of foods look delicious! This reminded me of the times in my life where naturally some people,places and sometimes things appeared very animelike to me- without them even trying or knowing.. Its great when its naturally so and not intended, or effort put at all.
Not all of them are Ghibli/Miyazaki films, but who cares? It all looks delicious.

Why did this get so many up votes? Is it because I haven't watched Anime since the 90s or something? I just see a bunch of yummy food, but that doesn't seem worth posting about on a non foodie site.

Most of these dishes appear to be readily available from Japanese eateries. She might have probably just bought most of them. And lots of times she didn't even bother recreating most of the scene, just the food. =/
