What is the source of the most amazing facts? No, it's not historical events, and neither is the human body - it's our mother nature. With so many components like animals and plants comprising it, the weird facts are plenty. In this post we'd like to show you some of the most unusual facts about animals, so be sure to remember at least one of them, just for a right to brag about your knowledge.
Believe it or not, the biggest mammal in the animal kingdom, the blue whale can make a fart bubble so big that a horse could fit inside it (although we're pretty sure that wouldn't be very nice for the horse). Also, we bet you didn't know the unbelievable fact that a female wallaby while running from a predator, will toss her joey from her pouch to reduce her weight as well as to give her pursuer something to snack on. And did you know that an armadillo's armor is so thick that a bullet once bounced off it and hit the person who fired it? Scroll down for more weird and wonderful animal facts. They come from a website called Weird Nature and you're sure to learn a thing or two you didn't know before. Don't forget to vote for your favorite piece of animal trivia!

My grandmother told me never to be mean to a crow. They'll remember you.
There was actually a study done about this very thing. Crows also remember friends and will bring them shiny little gifts. http://www.ctvnews.ca/crows-never-forget-a-face-even-five-years-later-1.668040
Load More Replies...That's true. My mom used to keep food for a crow everyday before she got engaged. She didn't saw the crow on her engagement or wedding but whe she was back home when she was pregnant, the crow came back with a tamarind for her!
This is very true. They're extremely smart. The wild crows at my old house used to play with my dog and it was very obvious that they would wait for him to come out. I started to watch them very closely and notice that they waited for him to come out and they'd all gather. He loved them. They'd also follow my boyfriend's truck because he would bring them popcorn so they knew which truck was his. There are many instances where crows show extreme intelligence. Birds are cool.
Crows have been known to strike friendships with wolves. They lead them to prey, and they get to share the meal. So a friendship with a dog is probably logical for them :)
Load More Replies...AND they regularly use tools and can solve VERY intricate puzzles! They ALSO have a sense of humor and actually PRANK each other!
Crows are very cool. A guy in a FB guitar group I belong to talked about his pet crow always wanting to play guitar at the same time as the human, so he got her her own guitar. A Guitar Hero controller. And when he plays guitar, she goes and bounces up and down on the controller's whammy bar to "play along".
Also magpies recognize humans and will not bomb people they consider friends. There is some evidence that this knowledge may be passed around among crows and magpies families.
edit: um badly stated... magpies gossip between each other.. crows gossip to each other.
Load More Replies...My grand-grandmother have had crow visitors every Winter - they were probably somewhere from Siberia, they were drafting to the Middle Europe and back in Spring. They were waiting for her every day to get some lunch. About ten birds, dark as night. It was awesome.
I'd say! They remember....they remember.... I pissed one off in my back yard and now it freaking dive bombs me when im in the yard in the spring/summer
I know this for a fact. I always feed the crows in my yard. I know them and they know me.
The entire Corvidae family (crows, ravens, rooks, jackdaws, jays, magpies, treepies, choughs, and nutcrackers) are renowned for being the smartest of all birds and some of the smartest of all animals.

According to a Native American legend, they used to be besties, but looked very drab. So the crow came up with the idea of painting each other's feathers. The crow was very artistic and wanted to do a good job, so he took a very long time to paint all the patterns you can see on owls today. On the other hand, the owl was very impatient and in order to save time, just dumped the paint on his friend. From then on, they've become mortal enemies. In order to save his skin, the lazy owl decided to avoid his former friend. And thus owls became nocturnal and crows remained diurnal.
