Nature is already quite majestic, but did you know, that wombats have almost perfectly cube-shaped poop? Or that kiwis are practically blind and forage mainly by smell? And, believe it or not, axolotls can regrow lost limbs and even grow new ones! Nature is just full of surprises and weird animal facts.

Bored Panda has chosen a few of the more unexpected animal facts, with which you can definitely blow your colleagues' minds. Just be sure to remember at least one of them in the time of need. And if you thought that human life is rather complex, then after checking these illustrations and animal trivia compiled by A. Stiffler and K. Copeland in a series called Nature is Magic, you might just think otherwise.

Don't forget to check their website called ChaosLife for more fun facts about animals!

Apparently, we know more about the space and the universe, than we know about Earth's oceans.

Less than 10%? Correction required: It is estimated that people have explored around 2-3% of the World's oceans. That's much smaller amount than 10%.

It's easier to find the deep depths of space than we do in the ocean for a few reasons. 1, in space you can put an object out there and it will keep going until it hits something but with the ocean, it goes off track. 2, if you go into space, there is less pressure and under water in trenches it could crush you like a can

Mysterious indeed but with ocean water micro and macro plastic pollution with toxic nuclear waste dumping; has destroyed life cycles of all marine species, resulting in chronic cancers in larger species and likely premature demise of the more sensitive unique species at seafloors and 1 km above.

Having seen some of the scary c**p that lives down there, I would advise leaving it that way! Maybe it's mother nature's way of dropping a hint, "here be real dragons"!

Why such a little percentage? Is it because of the pressure getting gradually heavier and heavier?

How does that work? You take the butterfly on a binge weekend and ask it to choose between flower juice and blood?

City dwelling birds can be really good at imitating sounds, I got fooled by a magpie into believing that there was a kitten stuck on a tree. And it happened to some of my friends as well.

That's because they are basically made of stem cells - they are stuck in a biological development limbo (think puberty). If they are injected with iodine, it actually resumes their ontogeny and they become a salamander.
