24 Of The Most Awesome Things That Disney Employees Have Ever Done
899Kviews
When business owners go to Disneyland, they probably end up headhunting all of the employees out there. That's how dedicated and professional they are. Spotting a guy with a Deadmau5 shirt? Of course, Minnie Mouse will react. Meeting a guide dog? Pluto certainly won't miss a chance to pet it. Working as a real-life Disney character requires both dedication and a sense of humor!
"There's a lot that goes into creating a positive workplace culture that inspires your employees to provide incredible customer service," Bruce Jones, Disney Institute's Senior Director said. "But there has to be an essential foundation on which all service decisions can be developed - a common purpose. Disney's key to creating magical guest interactions and amazing stories for them stems from our Cast Members' understanding of our company's common purpose, which we describe this way - 'We create happiness by providing the best in entertainment for people of all ages everywhere.'"
Scroll down to witness Disney employees doing just that - from heartwarming words to random acts of kindness, these good people know how to make Disneyland the most magical place.

I find it fascinating that you can still efficiently communicate in ASL while wearing one of those costumes. I heard these are super uncomfortable to wear and the shapes are out of proportions (obviously, since they replicate cartoon mascots). And yet, sign language is still possible. As someone who majored in linguistics, I seriously find that interesting and amazing.
Back story: that is actually the girlfriend of the guy in the Tigger suit. The guy who usually wears it was sick. The boyfriend traded the Rabbit suit he usually wears for the substitute's suit so he could be Tigger for once. He's wondering why she can't tell that - isn't - Him - hugging - her - for - soooo --- looong --- !! -- !
The friend with the camera and the girlfriend planned this as a joke on her boyfriend. She's not letting go until he says something absolutely memorable or hysterical in response. Hw might be the new=st meme.
Load More Replies..."Really? I'm a cool cat which is endangered and runs really fast and you go for the common grass eater"?
Tigger probably gets all the hugs so was miffed when rabbit was more import
A Disney worker said that to me and I know for a fact that I was looking like a sweaty fat a$$. 💗🤣💖
My mom told me that when I went to Disneyland when I was three, I met all the princesses and hugged them except for Ariel. I said she was a fake princess because mermaids don't exist and walked away. My mom couldn't stop laughing and feeling embarassed at the same time.
We went to disneyworld when I was 16 and it was AMAZING. I wore a giant teacup hat the whole time. The mad hatter offered to fill it up with tea. and one time I was walking around and Peter pan ran up behind me, he asked me why I had a cup on my head then took my hat and ran off! I chased him around the park for a good 5 mins and everytime I'd loose sight of him I'd see my hat being waved around in the air. And when we went to have breakfast with the winnie the pooh characters eeyore refused to leave till I gave him a hug.
This reminds me of the time a goose stole my hat as a kid. At the time it seemed like an epic battle, girl vs goose, but I imagine my parents were having trouble not laughing at my plight. (I did get it back, but there was a lot of chasing involved.)
Had the best time with the DL Hatter and Alice. It was drizzly so the park was almost empty. We had them all to ourselves. Hatter kept trying to give me tea but Alice kept shoving it out of his hand as if it was drugs.
Hey Hans, I regularly see Buzzfeed pulling any and everything off BP. This was a first to see it on Buzzfeed first- but I still go to both everyday and don't most of these posts just come from Reddit?

Well, bidirectionalisms doesn't imply that both sides are on par, does it? Newspapers regularly report on findings from scientific articles. Should scientific articles cite news papers as reliable sources of knowledge? My point is that I like Bored Panda for original content, for something that is not everywhere. Re-posting stuff from Buzzfeed, a Web site reported to reach 150 million people, is like running your arts magazine based on stories you read in the Huffington post.
Considering BP is free to use - where would they get the money to comission a couple of dozen original articles per week from writers and humorists travelling all over the globe?. Enough magazines and newspapers putting up paywalls as it is. I dont use Buzzfeed or Redditt. nor Imagur, Tumblr, Twitter or Instagram. Most of the things I see on here am seeing for the first time. These stories all come from somewhere originally..
I'll have to ask my mom for the picture, but... For some reason when we went to Disney, my dad was afraid someone would steal his shoes. My dad was a big guy-- 6'4" and 250lbs, so we joked that only Goofy would even want his shoes. We went to a character brunch and there was an actor dressed as Goofy, so my mom told him this story. He came back a little while later and pretended to try to steal my dad's shoes right off his feet.
This Australian has never been to Disneyland and probably never will. But these are lovely.

Mr Walt Disney (wherever you are) you Sir, are a genius. Thank you for letting children and adults alike to indulge in their whimsical fantasies.
I love these!
I still want to go to Disneyland :(
My kids made a carton dynamite stick, painted it red with the black fuse, and took it to the Warner Brothers movie park in Germany. But when they tried to scare the employees, not one of them played along. Dynamite sticks are present in EVERY WB-cartoon, but apparently not in the German versions!
In this day and age, I think an anvil would be more appropriate.
Sounds beautiful
This made me so happy, thank you! ^_^
Went to Disneyland Tokyo two years ago. Didn't see even one character. Apparently, one needs to pay extra to see them. My daughter was rather disappointed.
in america you just walk around and they thieve hats lol. (but actually in america you can see them everywhere)
If I ever go back to Disneyland (Paris edition), I'm definitely going with better company than last time. Those guys sucked. Yes, I did buy a load of Nightmare Before Christmas stuff, and no, it's not 'edgy'.
Where's the one with the little autistic boy crushing on Snow White and she was so sweet with him, he hugged her and put his head in her lap, and his mum said he doesn't usually like to be touched?
I always loved the argument between one little girl and the Gaston character. She was insisting that Belle was going to marry the Beast. Gaston laughed at the idea. Then mom says "let's have a picture." And Gaston steps to the little girl, put his hand on her shoulder and say "Smile like you're making me a sandwich!" Roars of laughter.

Mickey Mouse is based on a real creature. But it's not a mouse. They're aliens; real aliens from another planet. They're terrifying.

I'd rather have a root canal then go to Disney World.
You've obviously never had a root canal done then. With no anesthesia.
Yes I have.. and I would still rather go through that then go to the shithole state of Florida, with that HoRREnDOUS heat, stand in in looping lines for shitty rides amongst obnoxious asshole children.

Source: buzzfeed. Well..., well. And it seems The Walt Disney Company is now a Bored Panda sponsor.
And it will probably be on the TheChive, too, if it's not already. It's no secret that websites all use the same content most of the time, Hans. This isn't a major discovery.
The Chive is still around? wow.
There are web sites that promote quality content, and there are web sites that promote garbage. And there are some web sites that even promote original content. Bored Panda, with its arts, do-it-yourself and similar stories, and with some interviews, was among those.

I see. So we're ignoring the fact that Disney has a long history of mistreating park employees, refusing to pay a living wage, firing people for getting sick, making them work 12 hour shifts in costumes that never get cleaned, not permitting bathroom breaks and so on? I don't think so. Any adult who supports this needs their backside swatted with a Nerf bat.
I used to live in Anaheim and everybody in the whole town at one point worked for Disneyland. While the employer is strict about maintaining the dignitiy of the brand, there was absolutely none of the illegal labor practices to which you refer. In fact, they were militant about people taking scheduled breaks and clocking off at EXACTLY the right time. No 12 hours shifts for anyone that I knew.

Disney has been sued multiple times for staff abuse. Of course you aren't going to badmouth them if you're frightened of getting fired. Americans seem to be all right with abusing people who work for them, though, so I'm sure that squares with your reality.
Don't forget organ harvesting and experimental surgery.
We're not. It's just an article about amazing things. Get a life.
Aunt messy, not disagreeing over employment practices of which i am ignorant, but there is doing a job and doing a job well, with joy, or at least faking the joy. Perhaps its ok to celebrate the employees who spread joy and applaud them.

It's not "amazing" if someone's being paid to do it - it's part of their job.
