People Are Laughing At The Way Americans Got Trolled By Mexican Airline

While debates rage on over the border wall, AeroMexico wants Americans to know that your DNA doesn’t care what your politics are. In a hilarious new ad, the airline features interviews with residents of Wharton, Texas, offering them ‘DNA Discounts’ based on their percentage of Mexican heritage.

The well-meaning troll on the arguably bigoted citizens is not meant to embarrass but educate. Featuring statistics, history of immigration between Mexico and the U.S, and of course the promise of flight deals, the video is a lighthearted attempt to show that when you look at it we all have common ground.

The video begins by pointing out that while our friends south of the border come to America for travel, Mexico falls low on their tourism destination list.

When asked what the reasons why the residents had no interest in visiting the neighbors, only 300 miles south, the answers showed a common theme.

Touching on the history of immigration between the U.S and Mexico they proved that these Texans were not only close in proximity but in their DNA as well.

If people would start realizing that they share almost 100% of their genome with _any_ other human on earth, we surely would life on a much, much better planet.

I lived in Shenzhen for 7 years, you could see Hong Kong across the water. People in Hong Kong didn't know where it was (thought I flew over instead of taking a 30 minute bus lol) and thought people were constantly murdered and attacked. I think this is a common border ignorance problem.

1. Americans love Mexican resorts. Been traveling there for decades. 2. This is fake. These people are actors, and not very good ones, but they've duped many of you, especially those who hate conservatives and think they are the ones being portrayed here. And they're trying to give these groups of Americans more reasons to be hated by SJWs and snowflakes. 3. Mexico is no longer as safe as it once was. Thanks to rampant crime fueled by drug cartels and insufficient police forces, the US Department of State has issued an unprecedented number of travel warnings. My CONSERVATIVE friend and her husband were planning a trip there recently. Shocking, I know, now that so many of you have become convinced conservatives wouldn't travel there out of some hidden racist agenda. But they changed their minds after reading the DoS warning to get your affairs in order, to include a will and proof of life information. Stop. Believing. Everything you read on the internet.

What is not fake is the bigotry in this country. It's a shame. I visited Cancun and experienced no crime. Let's be honest there is plenty of violence in the U.S. Who would expect to be shot and killed in our schools, churches, temples, malls, jobs or driving. We quickly judge and condemn certain people and countries, but let's admit our problems, including racism. Let's also admit that the current President has egged on some troubled people to act out violently.

They went to a small hillbilly town and pulled this on the folks there that aren't too bright and fell for it. Was it their mission to make white people look ignorant af? If so, they nailed it. I've been to Mexico twice, one time on AeroMexico and it was the most nerve wracking flight I've ever been on. I really thought we were going down and the plane erupted in applause when we landed, I'll never fly with them again. Aside from that, I wouldn't go back to Mexico now anyway. Not because of a racial thing, but because of the danger. They've gotten very murder happy in the last couple decades. When I was on the beach in Cancun in '91, there were police patrols armed with machine guns just walking around, it was very uncomfortable. And it's gotten much worse since as far as the violence. I simply wouldn't feel safe there now. I will say that when I went to Cozumel, there was a much better vibe there and I felt much safer, but that was a long time ago, too.

Definitely not a typical American town. Anyway, even with a DNA test in hand, a great discount, and a decent command of the language, someone who looks like me would still experience a range between a targeted mark or be ignored entirely. I vacation where I want and after 3 trips to varied Mexican locales that were just not so great trips, time to see and spend my money in other places. Sorry Mexico, if you want a piece of the economic pie, work on the crime and infrastructure. There are hundreds of places in the Caribbean that outpace you by light years. As it is I have moved on and am now currently in Europe.

The best Anthropology Museum ever with an amazing collection of pre-Columbian art. Other museums - dozens of them. The architecture is a wonder and don't even start me on the food! The Teotihuacan pyramids are a must see - & only an hour on a bus from Mexico city. As for safety - I'm a woman and I travel alone and everything was fine.
