Aww, he looks so happy now. His smile is adorable. (Too bad his ears are cropped.) I'm always glad to read a story about a happily adopted animal.

While I disagree with cropping tails and ears and everything else, I think in this case, since it can't be undone, it kinda adds to his cuteness, like "My owners were so mean and they did all dis to me, but my new owner so amazing!"

Aww.. these are so heartwarming! I wish I could adopt a doggie! Being abused or in critical condition can really take a toll on the poor animal (physically and mentally). Its nice to see their transformations into happy pups with a family :)

I really do think a dog's love is the most complete love we can have on earth. I know, my experience with my dogs show me everyday what true unconditional love is. They are family to me, its not possible for me to love them more than I do, I wish more people would see and understand this. (This ^^ dog knows hes loved now you can see it in his eyes)

Love. Pure love. My baby boy is a rescue. When I got him he was 2 months old, scared to death and 1 of 5 pups who survived a horrible place. Full of fleas, feces, not fed etc. They were only found due to the owner being arrested. He's a Staffordshire terrier chow chow mix. 4 years later he is still my best decision ever. My service dog. But to this day I don't think I saved him. HE saved me..

Our Black Velvet was 'one of many'. Her nest was warm, but there were 11 other pups asking for love and attention. Velv' was one of the three biggest pups. The moment I saw her, I fell in love. Luckily she came from a wonderfull, warm, loving home. Sebastian (her "grandpa" so to speak) trained them well and the pups were not allowed to leave their mom before being 12 weeks old. But there are so many that do not have those great odds...alas. 2017-07-17...7cbdfb.jpg 2017-07-17-195645-5978f147cbdfb.jpg

100% sweet and kind--love stories like these. Some years ago we adopted a JRT mix from our local shelter. When we fist say him he was asleep in the kennel while the dog in there with him ran around barking. We found out from an animal intuitive that Jib was asleep because he was frightened and afraid. Happily for us and our Jibster, those days are long past!

Adopt don't buy ? But where will breeds go ? You are doing a mistake to stop peoples to buy real breeds , why? Because: No one is buying this dog =homeless dogs. So I know that we need to adopt shelter dogs but we can't stop buying breeds because if no one buys a dog the owner "throws" dog away to shelter... Everyone needs love. I remember having a shelter dog , but they gave her to us to "try" it didn't work ... That dog didn't match our personallities...but we gave her back sadly. Then I found a homeless cat that we loved.... He was just a normal black cat ... Well yeah

The whole point is that if you stop buying, eventually the breeders will go out of business. Plus, what breeds? If you mean purebred then I hope you know that most "purebreds" are from puppy mills, if you ignore that and buy a dog out of sympathy you are just supporting what could be a puppy mill, if breeders go out of business there will be LESS shelter dogs because they would be getting adopted more easily. Real breeds don't exist by the way, and if you are buying a real breeds, you should know that you are basically buying an inbred dog, prone to health issues and one that will probably have a shorter lifespan. Real breed/purebred is just for marketing, it's really just an inbred dog that could die possibly years before the predicted lifespan
