It seems that it is not the end of heated discussions on abortion laws and demonstrations showing what people stand for as thousands of people gathered to support abortion rights all across the United States on October 2nd. After the new Texas law that severely restricts access to abortion was passed, pro-choice supporters are afraid that such restrictions will be imposed in other states too.

After these demonstrations took place in all 50 states, the internet was filled with pictures of people with colorful and meaningful signs, posters, and t-shirts that go against anti-abortion laws. Bored Panda has already presented some of the reactions of people who were very vocal about abortion restrictions as well as managed to get a glimpse at what the world would look like if a fetus was considered a baby. This time, let’s see how people expressed their thoughts during recent demonstrations.

One must wonder why it's called "common sense" when it's clear very few people have it.

These are probably the same people who think women can control their periods, and thus it was the 12 year old's fault for getting pregnant

No one wants to force women to have babies. What they want is to not allow her to kill babies. It is generally the mother's and father's irresponsibility and selfishness that leads them to procreate a child, which they then decide to kill to avoid the consequences of their actions. A society that believes in a right to abortion is not only savage, but absurd: if a mother's womb isn't a safe place, why should any place be safe? If a babe's life isn't sacred, why should the homosexual's or the immigrant's be sacred? Before responding, go look up how an abortion procedure is done, how the physician kills up the baby as he pulls it out of the womb. Slavery was a "right" because Blacks weren't considered full humans. The Holocaust was legal because Jews weren't considered humans. Abortion is legal because unborn babies aren't considered humans. That doesn't make it right.

Trump followers are way out of line, who do they think they are to take girls and women's lives hostage. I'm so glad I don't live in such a dictator country. May God save these women from the nuts living in Texas!

Texas were there's very little intelligence among the the population. Galloping racism, Trump voters, fire arms a go go, even kids have fire arms so what can one expect from a bunch of stupid people. These who are against abortions don't do anything to take care of the unwanted child or mother to be. Do these half wits believe that foster homes are the best solution for the children? Forcing girls and women to go through an unwanted pregnancy is just criminal. What gives morons the power to decide what is best for others? It's not these uneducated nitwit to decide the lives of others!

I am def in the minority here but I agree with the very few that has pointed out that abortion is murder. Down vote me if you want to but you are killing a human being. And this is coming from someone who was pregnant at the age of 18 in a very tough situation. I could have made that choice but then I wouldn't have had the wonderful daughter I have today. But I DO believe that it prolly should not be the governments place to take such a stand. And I also believe that those who chose to abort (other than for incest, rape, health) is choosing murder. That is my opinion.

Nobody is forcing that woman to have her baby. In most cases, she and the father irresponsibly chose to have sex. What Texas means to do, with God's help, is to provide infants the same protection of life under the law as that woman holding the sign, and everyone else who wants to be able to kill babies (go watch how physicians cut up in infant and pull the body parts out of the womb, and then come back and comment). A civilization that celebrates killing babies is savage and hypocritical.

if a 12 year old gets pregnant it becomes a crime. parents will go to jail. cowards go after the weak and fragile. abortion is murder after a heartbeat is detected

The parents don't go to jail, the person who got her pregnant does. (If they ever find him). But the parent will go to jail if they get her an abortion? Really? You can think abortion is murder all day long, but you can't tell a woman not to get one. It isn't your choice or anyone else's. It's crazy to me that people will choose an embryo over an already contributing member of society to speak up for, especially if you're a woman yourself

So a few things. A twelve year old doesn't miraculously turn up pregnant. Decisions were made long before that pee stick showed positive. No 12 year old should be getting pregnant. It should be a crime to impregnate a 12 year old. Thankfully, these pregnancies are statistically rare and getting rarer. https://www.statista.com/statistics/410744/birth-rate-for-us-girls/ However, once a pregnancy exists, its no longer just about the mother, however young and vulnerable she may be. That life she carries inside her has its own genetic code, and very soon its own heartbeat. Whether that life is a person with rights, or a fetus with none, goes to the paramount question of what constitutes personhood. "Living outside the mother" was a suitable answer, but now we have the ability to sustain far younger life "outside the mother". In fact, there are several states in which you can lawfully abort a fully viable fetus/baby that has every chance of living if the mother had chosen differently.

No, it’s still just about the woman / girl. 100%. A fetus doesn’t have more rights than someone alive.

The ONLY acceptable legal reasons for an abortion should be rape, incest and if the mothers life is in danger!

The protests were organized by Women’s March. Their main mission is to “create transformative social change”, involve more women, make sure to keep the diversity, and educate people on various and serious issues such as the anti-abortion law.

In the nearest future, the Supreme Court will be hearing a case that could reverse Roe v Wade protecting woman’s right to choose to have an abortion without restrictions posed by the government. The Court will now focus on Mississippi's 15-week ban on abortion.

According to Texas law, abortion is prohibited six weeks into pregnancy. Having in mind how early that is, at this time women don’t even know themselves that they are pregnant. Besides this, it encourages people to file a lawsuit against those they believe had or performed an abortion, an exchange getting $10,000.

If implemented, what do these changes bring to citizens? According to a piece written by newspaper columnist Jacob Sullum, there shouldn’t be sudden changes. Even if these restrictions become the new reality, women still will be able to make their own decisions and have an abortion in other states where these restrictions aren’t so cruel.

This is true even in cases of rape, incest and incestuous rape. In many cases, a 12 year old (and younger) boy can overpower and rape a 12 year old girl.

It needs a massive amount of cash to get into any form of government, and a lot of that cash comes from the untaxed churches, so this sort of stupidity is inevitable. TG I don't live there!
