After The Video Of A Dog Who Didn’t Realize He Was Being Abandoned Went Viral, Snoop Dogg Offers To Give Him A Home
It’s 2019 so it’s time to start the year with some positive news! Or at least a silver lining to a rather sad story. While much of the world is overwhelmed with the celebrations of Christmas and New Year, it seems that everybody is acting their best and the world is slowly turning into a better place. Unfortunately, the reality is not as pretty since there are still people who still have enough evil in their hearts to dump their pets in the street before Christmas.
Recently, heartbreaking video footage surfaced on the Internet
The video showing a man dumping his dog in the middle of the street just before Christmas quickly went viral. People were devastated to see how the dog desperately tried to get back in the car to his owner before he drove off, leaving the poor puppy behind.
The video quickly went viral with people all over the world trying to find the dog a new home
The video was originally shared by Rachel Butler who works as a regional manager for RSPCA, an animal welfare charity
In an interview with Bored Panda, RSPCA‘s press representative said that they are grateful to all the millions of people who have shared this dog’s story across the world.
The employees at the shelter named the puppy ‘Snoop’
“Snoop is such a loveable character and enjoys being around people and gets on well with other dogs. He just loves getting close to people, sitting between their legs and having cuddles, and is certainly enjoying lots of love and affection from our staff.”
After the story went viral, many famous people offered their homes to Snoop
Including the iconic rapper Snoop Dogg who stated “There is always room for another dog in Casa de Snoop”
“We have been overwhelmed by the hundreds of supportive messages for Snoop and all the people who have offered to give him a home, including some well-known faces such as rapper Snoop Dogg.” Unfortunately, the dog cannot be rehomed at the moment since Snoop is being moved to a rehomed center this week where professionals will check Snoop’s health in order to find him the perfect owners.
In fact, Snoop Dogg isn’t the only one who offered to take care of the abandoned dog
British journalist Andrew Neil also offered his home along with comedian Sue Perkins.
The charity says they are overwhelmed with the support and love they received from all around the world
“Our investigation about who dumped him is still ongoing and so we continue to urge people who have any information to contact us on 0300 123 8018”

Share on FacebookI cant stand seeing videos like this. That pup was so full of love and it made my heart hurt to see his heart hrt when the onwer left. If something ever happens that causes you to need to give up a dog, please do it correctly to ensure its safety and that it will be loved. No dog deserves what that pup experienced. I have to go hug my dogs now.
He is such a handsome boi! I hope all the hundreds of people offering to adopt him take heart and go to their local shelters and adopt a dog in his honor.
Ojberretta Berretta- Nobody has ever said that starving children are any less important than an abandoned dog. While I understand you may be bitter (you obviously are far less fortunate than many of us) you still should appreciate people who want to create a better life for these animals. I support your collecting food for starving children. I don't support your utter rudeness bc you don't value any beings lowlier than yourself. I hope you learn to appreciate various life forms and begin to wish them a better life as well as the children. I'm deeply sorry for "caring about a useless dog" and for having gratitude that Snoop Dogg would step up and try to make the world a little better, at least for that dog.
and considering that his/her nickname contains: -1- a name of a double murderer (O.J.) -2- twice a (almost) name of a gun manufacturer (Beretta) should give the level of consideration that him/her deserves...
Load More Replies...I couldn’t watch the entire video because it broke my heart too much. I hope they find thisheartless SOB and jail him. As for Snoop, he will find a home with someone that deserves his love. There is no love like the love of a dog!
"Us Doggs gotta stick together. I'll give him a home, food, toys, maybe a little something to help him relax, and once he's settled in, we'll track down the m***********s who abandoned Li'l Snoop, and show them you don't mess with the Crips. Then, he's gonna provide backing vocals on my new album. He'll meet Dre, chill with Shady, and have all the dog hoes he wants." - Snoop Dogg (human version) (probably) (not likely, but still).
Think of it this way: The dog got rid of its incredibly horrible old owner and is now about to get a wonderfully awesome new owner that wants and will love it very much.
I needed to hear that. I'm in tears from this story. Thank you for your input, it's given a nicer spin to it xx
Load More Replies...It killed me to watch his video. Dog lovers need to commit themselves to raising dog/puppy. It's hard. Just like raising a baby. You have responsibilities you must adhere to. Snoop, I'm praying for you to find the perfect person/family home.
I hope the people who abandoned that dog are charged with animal cruelty and abuse. Even that wouldn’t be enough punishment!
I kitten I had(he passed away) had a backstory that will always make me sad: My dad used to work at this company in New Jersey and one of his co-workers was sitting by the window in the break room and saw a car and it was 1-2ish so it couldn't be someone who worked there any way the guy sees this girl get out and get a box and put it by the woods and speeds off so he runs out and see its a mom cat with 4 newborn cats,I was 5 at the time and the kitten we got was still smaller than my hand
My dog was also abandoned. When we had to give him up (I hope he never gets given up again) we made sure to find him a home first. Why do people have to be so cruel.
Load More Replies...This is terrible. Some people just don’t have a heart. I hope that there’s more good people out in the world than bad
Snoop is such a gorgeous boy.. :'( i nean look at his smirk... :'(:'(:'(
That's one of the most painful things I've watched in a while. I hope the human (trash) in the video gets the most horrible fate possible. I can't think of ugly enough words to describe it. Maybe like a thousand of those curb stomp things?
Just couldnt watch = if you are desperate enough to abandon your animal - pls pls leave it somewhere safe it will be discovered quickly - why dump it in the middle of no-where?
Load More Replies...Reading this story brings nothing but un-parliamentary language to mind and suffice it to say, an individual (note, I am not saying 'a person') who does this to a dog should be taken behind the nearest wood shed and horse whipped 'till stoopid. They deserve nothing less. A**holes like that should not wear the label of "human."
I wish there was some kind of punishment for people that do this!!!!! I see so many dogs like this out on the street. What kind of heart do these people have!!
No heart. :-( You can't have a heart and do this. Watching the way the heartless coward lured the dog away from the car with his bed, then ran back to the car to get in before the dog noticed and caught up--I almost threw up. Just awful.
Load More Replies...I saw the headline and knew I couldn't watch it while working. Even with two glasses of wine in my system it still breaks my heart to watch the loyalty of a dog to a douchebag. The only silver lining is that so many people are brought to tears by this cruelty and that we promise to kiss and hug our dogs extra tonight!
What hurts more about this story is not only this person abandon his dog , but mostly, the way he did it, near to a road with so much cars passing that could easily hit the dog. I hope this person get caught. Have no excuse for this.
Snoop is sooo cute. I hope he finds his forever happy home soon. Good luck Snoop!
This is heartbreaking. I have so much trouble with seeing animals being mistreated, and abandoned. I can’t watch the videos without having my heart ripped out.
This brought tears to my eyes. SHAME on the owner who dumped this poor precious dog. He should NEVER be allowed to own another dog as long as he lives!!!
I can't even watch the video. The 5 seconds I saw broke my heart. People suck. Just surrender the dog somewhere safe. Don't dump them.
I vote to let 'Snoop Dogg' adopt the "Snoop" dog ~!!!! What a better life could one get?!?!?
I am so heartbroken watching this footage. What a beautiful little soul. How? I mean, How?
People who do stuff like this need to have Karma whup them upside the head! (20 or 30 times at least!)
Iv'e seen this video many times and each time it's more heart breaking than the last, I can actually feel my heart hurting, can you imagine what the poor doggy's heart felt like.
People who abandon/abuse these innocent animals are truly disgusting human beings.
I have not even seen the vid. The picture of Snoop trying to get in to the car and the sick f*ck was more than enough. Please find that SOB. He need to pay alot of money or something. What an absolutely wonderful dog.
I really can't fathom the mentality of someone who would do this to a dog. I just can't. I'm glad that this poor pup will soon have a new home.
Humans are such evil pricks. Dogs are so innocent & trusting. At least drop it off at the dog shelter or advertise, don't dump it. A******s!
I don't want to wish ill on the guy in the video, but I'm afraid I do. Animals rock. People suck.
Personally, I think if they named the dog Snoop..they should give him to Snoop. You wanna talk about a dog that will be spoiled rotten.....
That doggo has the smiliest face which breaks my heart. Even after being dumped with all his worldly possessions on the road side, he is still a happy dog willing to trust the very creatures which have failed him. I hope you can go to a good home and live your best life Snoop. I would take you in a heartbeat but I know the list of people wanting to Rehome you is long and chances are slim but I just hope the total c**t who did this to you is found by an animal lover and beats ten sacks of s**t out of him.
That video breaks my heart, this cute little puppy, being abandoned and desperately trying to get back into the car. I can't stand it.
I love how all these lovely people are willing to give a poor doggo a home. If they aren't able to help this puppy, I wish they'd be willing to go out and give another poor doggy a home!
What's the point of leaving him in traffic to be hit or starve when there are so many other ways to get rid of an unwanted dog? It's not like shelters are a secret....
I'll be happy when he has his forever home, r4egardless of who has offered and how famous they are. (No offense to Snoop)
The RSPCA in the UK are at best only interested in pursuing cruelty lawsuits, not helping animals in distress. I've called them over a deer stranded on detritus in a river, they wanted to know about my income and address not the location of the deer. I've contacted them about a bird trapped on a glass balcony, a week went by before they emailed to ask if it was still there. I'd long since climbed onto the balcony to move it on. I called about a dying swan, they said they didn't deal with swans and hung up.
true - I contacted them 2 yrs ago about some horses being kept in a "swamp" - no access to dry ground - just a foot of mud. 3 months later they returned my call, saiad they had been to see the owner - he said it would be sorted - 1 year on the poor things are still there
Load More Replies...I am so happy the cute pup is going to have a home, finally! But i'm worried that people might see this and think it's ok to abandon these magnificent creatures because there will always be someone to take care of them, but that is not true. Most abandoned dogs and cats die young because of lack of food and care and most never find a loving home. So please, never ever abandon a soul, and if anyone has room and money to take care of a animal, adopt and don't buy...
I haven't looked at the video... I can't but I'm sure this lovely pup will find a forever family soon
The story was so sad that I couldn't see the video posted on Bored Panda last year. I was so glad to know that many people were giving the cute dog warm helps to offer a new good home.
Dog was in good condition and happy, and owner seemed unsure or upset about leaving the dog. He even brought the dog's bed. Yes, owner should have done better. But most dumped animals are usually in bad shape, abused, ill-treated, sick, and terrified. And dumped in areas where it is very dangerous to try and rescue (expressways) or, much worse, dumped by owners who have sadistically made sure they would die a slow and agonizing death, and only a miracle would save them. (Dogs with muzzles taped shut, etc.)
