There’s A Bat Hospital In Australia That Takes In Abandoned Baby Bats
If you think bats are terrifying, vampiric creatures of the night, you’ve got them all wrong. The abandoned bat pups being taken care of at the Tolga Bat Hospital in Atherton, Australia are proof that baby bats can be just as adorable as any kitten or puppy.
The fruit bat pups at the Tolga Bat Hospital in the Atherton Tablelands are brought in when they are afflicted by tick paralysis or when their mothers have died or become too ill to feed them (often from the same disease). Volunteers at the hospital nurse the bat pups back to health and then release them into the wild. The hospital also serves as a sanctuary for bats who have retired from zoos.

Bats are among the more useful creatues on the planet. They consume large quantities of flying insects and pollinate many species of fruit.
I've always been a fan of Bat-man and these little Baby Bat's are adorable. Look out it's the Joker !
I Love Fruit Bats. I think that the adult ones look a log like Siamese cats.
This is a project that everybody has to consider: animals maintain the balance of the spiritual and biological circle of life.
Its a type of tick that paralyses once attached to the animal can effect dogs, cats etc and can be very deadly if not treated asap

I'm sorry. I've been too highly conditioned against them to not shiver at a bony wing or claw. Even though their eyes ARE super adorable.
They're not pacifiers. They're little nipples. The milk-replacement formula is injected into the nipple from a graduated pipette.

as far as I know bats can't really function with light so how do they take photos of them?
Fruit bats have excellent eyesight - no problem with lights

In the U.S. at least, bats are common carriers of rabies. Don't touch.
ugh. there is an old saying, "put a tutu on a pig, it's still a pig". i HATE bats. i don't find them cute at all. they are disgusting.
