6 Fairytales Rewritten With A Worrying Spin: The Heroes Never Go Outside, Just Like Today’s Kids
We spent our childhoods by playing outside from dawn ’til dusk, to the point of our parents struggling to get us inside the house for dinner. And we were inspired to do so by the fearless adventures that happened in fairytales and cartoons: Jack climbing the beanstalk and stealing the golden laying goose, Peter Pan defending Neverland with the Darlings and Little Red Riding Hood standing up to the wolf.
All of those adventures started with the heroes leaving the house.
But what if Hercules acted like most kids today and played video games all day? What if Cinderella stayed in to watch TV all night instead of going to the ball?
Check out these beautifully illustrated stories (they’re called the Never Starting Tales) and use them as inspiration to spend more time outside with your family. I’ll be definitely reading them to my children. You can find the books on their website.

When Peter Pan invites the Darlings to Neverland, Wendy refuses to adventure outside – she was too busy watching videos on Youtube.
Hercules had the strength of a god, but he wasted being a hero by playing on his stone tablet all day long.
Instead of caring for her grandma, Little Red Riding Hood stayed at home to watch TV. But she didn’t expect what happened next.
When his mother sent him to sell the cow, Jack said no. So his neighbor, Billy, went instead. And that was the start of Billy’s adventure.
Only 2 pig brothers went outside to play. The 3rd one just wanted to play video games. But when his brothers came back, he couldn’t believe the adventure he missed out on.
Cinderella could’ve met the prince if she went at the ball, but but that’s not how this story goes. Her step sister marries the prince instead, just because Cinderella stayed in to watch TV.

Share on FacebookIt's too bad today's kids don't get kidnapped by the ghost of a dead baby, driven to a fit of madness that causes them to murder their families, eaten by wolves, cornered by cannibalistic giants, chased by wolves, or abused and then married to a prince who cares mostly about their shoe size and doesn't recognize their face.
You know you can keep blaming the kids with These kids these days ect ect but its the parents own fault. They are the ones who decide what is okay for their child yet I still hear them complain. MAKE YOUR KIDS GO OUTSIDE OR STFU
