The Internet Is Dying From Laughter At The Way This Guy Is Trying To Sell His Old Car On Craigslist

Selling a used car is tough, which is why used car salesclerks have gained the unfortunate reputation for using all kinds of dirty tricks to get the job done.

This guy had probably the most boring, average and thus most difficult car to sell on Craigslist. But instead of resorting to sly ruses, he used the unremarkable qualities of the 1999 Toyota Corolla to his advantage and created a hilariously funny Craigslist ad that has since gone viral.

Brutal honesty was the angle here, because what is the point in trying to sugarcoat a turd? “Bluetooth: nope. Sunroof: nope. Fancy wheels: nope. Rear view camera: nope…but it’s got a transparent rear window, and you have a f**king neck that can turn.” Now that’s a voice you can trust in a Craigslist’s car sale ad! No bull, just straight-up facts about the saddest Toyota Corolla and a sense of humor.

Salesmen take note, THIS is effective used car sale advertising. We can be reasonably certain that dear 1999 Corolla has by now found a new owner to watch ALF with, and the author of the funny ad has upgraded to another suitably safe and boring car. A Volvo perhaps. Scroll down below to read it for yourself, and let us know what you think in the comments!

Mine was a '94 and I cried when I had to give it up. It still purred like a kitten, but my old knees wouldn't let me get in. So sad. I wanted to be buried in it.

Awesome, simply awesome! My family had a Corolla when I was a kid in the 80's. That thing had over 300K miles on it before someone stole it in a mall parking lot. See, even thieves know quality.

My mother had one, she took really good care of it. Today my cousin drives it. Its true, they last forever. My cousin will probably give it to her kid who has 10 years to go before she gets a drivers license. At this point, its a family heirloom.

My stepdaughter hit a man in a 1980 Chevy pickup with her 1998 Corolla. Even though her car didn't even dent his solid steel, aftermarket "cow-catcher" style bumper, he still sued her... because he knew he would lose a year of his life retelling the most boring accident story ever told. The engine of the Corolla was completely ripped out of her vehicle during the accident, but the Corolla still restarted when she tried turning the key. Because of course it did.

My mother bought her '99 Corolla brand new. She still has it 19 years later, and it still has that new car smell.

Really pointless pixelation of the swear words. I think, these days, we can all cope with those words, plus we can obviously guess what they are from f**k and s**t and we say them in our f**king heads as we s**ting read them anyway. I bet you still did that with those examples! :D

He deserves a new one. I will be waiting to retire and finally be dead and long forgotten before he gets to sell the new one. We all will be, for that matter.

Posting for my daughter! We bought her an ancient 1981 Corolla when she was 16..she drove it until she was 23. The only reason she gave it up then was because the rear end had rusted out so much that the struts were in the trunk! We all cried when we took it to the junkyard...then they used it to run parts in from the yard to the office....it might still be going...

My only problem with this article is that this event happened a long time ago with a different car and bored panda did an article about it back then to. So are we just gonna get a bunch of articles about cars now?

It's true. Read the comments. People like the description but not a single person wrote they want to buy it. Clearly not 200,000+ people like the author says - he must have autism.
