Steve Irwin’s Daughter Is Now Grown Up And Keeping Dad’s Legacy Alive
Steve “Crocodile Hunter” Irwin died 8 years ago, but his daughter Bindi Irwin is continuing his legacy of animal conservation. The 16-year-old American citizen is in her final year of school where she is finishing Business and Tourism, after which she plans to work full time at Australia Zoo. Irwin’s Instagram has over 220,000 followers, and from the pictures, it’s clear that her father had a big impact on her life.
“With dad, he was the ultimate wildlife warrior and we admired him more than anything,” Irwin told eOnline. “I do remember he gave me a piece of advice that has stuck with me forever. He said, ‘You have to treat animals the way you wish to be treated.’ Which is so true.”

Meet Bindi Irwin, the daughter of Steve Irwin the “Crocodile Hunter”
She is turning 17 next month and plans to work full time at Australia Zoo
“With dad, he was the ultimate wildlife warrior and we admired him more than anything”
“I have spent my entire life living in a zoo, which is pretty crazy. Not many kids get to say that”
“It took me until I was about three years old to realize that we didn’t just come to the zoo every day, that we actually lived here”
“I remember he gave me a piece of advice that has stuck with me forever”
“If you treat animals how you want to be treated, you’re a lot better off”
Bindi started to appear in television shows from the age of two
She even hosted a wildlife documentary for kids called “Bindi the Jungle Girl”
“When [Irwin] was working with venomous snakes or cheetahs, he just treated them in a [certain] way”
“It was never trying to overpower them or anything like that”
“He was just loving them”
“And he was teaching other people about how beautiful they are”
“Telling people how to respect snakes and respect crocodiles and to love them”
“And I think if you go about it with that kind of attitude, it’s brilliant”
Bindi plans to continue her father’s legacy by working full-time at the Australia Zoo

Share on FacebookShe's turned out to be a beautiful young woman. Keep up the wonderful work.
If she genuinely wants to help animals she shouldn't partner with SeaWorld. Her own grandfather, Steve Irwin's father and a prominent Australian conservationist, has stated about it that he could not support an organization that “keeps animals in captivity that does not consider and provide for that animal’s physical, mental and emotional needs” and exploits them for the “performance of tricks with the intent of mere entertainment for financial gain.”
Like Steve, she an excellent example of how we should treat all animals. You go girl!
So wholesome.Beats the heck out of our slutty looking twerking girls.
Beautiful young lady - inside and out! I know both of her folks (yes, I mean both - I'm hoping and praying that her dad can know this somehow!) are so pleased with her ongoing love for animals!
She is so pretty and love that family!!!I know her family must be proud!!!
I'm so glad she's chosen to continue in her parents' path. We need more like her in the world, to help us appreciate our part in nature.
You must have both you're parents as well to say such things loosing a parent isn't easy and you do what you can to feel close to them again
ichard petcher that is a heartless and cruel thing to say it doesn't matter if Steve Irwin is gone if being with animals and doing what she loves and what her father loves that's all that matters is spirit and presents lives on through bindi Irwin
Don't worry her daddy is watching her and is very proud ofbher! Beautiful young lady
Such a lucky girl. May she enjoy what she's doing at the zoo and for animals for a long time to come.

Like Steve, she will be an excellent example of how we should treat the animals. You go girl!
I am sure her dad is looking down with a huge smile and feeling proud as punch of her .not forgetting mum as well the saying is its in the blood .xx
I must have watched a very different version of crocodile hunter, because all I saw was some idiot running around annoying and antagonizing animals for profit.
Australia Zoo is part of a big network of zoos all around the world who do NOT parttake in an industry to murder tigers. Quite the opposite. They have very serious conservation programs which may be the only way to actually save tigers from extinction because of hunting and killing wild tigers for their fur, or just loss of habitat. You should educate yourself.
