Don’t just hide indoors during Mongolian winter – there’s plenty to do outside, like riding a horse to some of the most beautiful parts of Mongolia. I know it sounds pretty extreme but trust me, you won’t regret trying it!

Avid traveller and photographer Mr. Batzaya is sharing some of truly amazing photos from his recent horse riding trip to the Naiman Nuur (Eight Lakes) area in the Central Mongolia. The Naiman Nuur area is in the pristine Khangai Mountains and said to be one of the most picturesque spots of the country regardless the season.

Travellers, who joined him on this exciting adventure, say that riding a Mongolian horse at -10’C, camping in a tent in the remote mountains under starry skies (it sure was cold!), meeting nomads and their children, and the breathtaking scenery during the ride – in other words, the whole experience was fantastic! Lastly, they loved travelling in wilderness, away from all the city stress and tech-driven style of their usual daily lives.
