Pet owners often, to the annoyance of parents, compare their animals to children and while there is nothing quite as taxing as taking care of another human, pets require attention – and a lot of it. Yes, when not given enough attention these cuddly creatures are not afraid to make demands to their owners in the form of cries, or sometimes they will take matters into their own hands and ‘force’ you to pet them. Mine's a drama queen as well, if he isn't fed as soon as he asks to eat, he will find something gross in the trash can, carry it over to me, drop it, mew to be sure im watching and then pretend to try and eat it all the while making the only feline face of disgust I have ever seen. This works every time, because while I know he wont actually eat it, I love the little monster too much to take the chance.
It's amazing how cats can sense your emotional needs. They can comfort you when you are depressed, for instance.
My cat meows at me because he expects me to stop the rain at (his) will he will literally walk at the window, look at it, meow then look at me, then meow and look again at the window and after a pause, meow again.. then repeat it again and again...
Mine does the same. He is annoyed, when i made it cold and wet outside. And he is surprised, when he exits through another door, that its still raining there.

I live my furry little a*****e. He is always screaming for food and only wants attention when you are on the capper. But he dose love me, the first time he saw me having a crying panic he ran around the house screaming before deciding that the best course of action was to bat my face until it stopped leaking
My cats have all sorts of interesting habits. Delve in: Bisha doesn't like me laughing out loud too long, so when I do, she starts meowing at me angrily to make me behave. Yato loves dwelling under the shower when it's off, the showering rod fascinates him and he will yell at me if the doors are closed. And by yell I mean YELL (they're MaineCoons). Bisha figures things fast and is cleverer - if she steals something, she shares with her brother, but leaves him always at the crime scene when I come in. I already learned not to scold him, cause it's 99% chance it was brought to him by loving sis. Yato showes his never ending love between 5 and 7 am. He comes to bed, headbutts me and demands pets. Purrs all over for two minutes and leaves. If I don't pay attention, he will stand on top of me and meow worried, if I'm still alive. When I take a nap in the afteroon, Bisha will wake me up every quarter by a slight meow, to make sure I didn't die. And that's just the beginning ;)
My cat is quite talkative. He lets you know when he's hungry ("MEEEOOOOOOOOWWWWW!!!!"). He lets you know when his dinner was tasty ("Mjamlemlemmjam"). He lets you know when he wants his belly rubbed ("Meeew!"). He lets you know when he did a number two ("MeowMEOOOOWWWW!"). He's hilarious.
I had a cat who'd tell me it was bed time, and when I was sick with the pukes, he'd get up with me, let me have some puke time and go back to bed with me. That cat was my everything.
I live alone with my cat, so she is free to roam around the house as she pleases. Full access to all rooms. However, on the rare occasion I want to have a full, uninterrupted night sleep, (because she loves to sleep next to me, but at around 4 am she decides it's a great time to wake up and practice her diving moves from the headboard of my bed to my stomach) I take her out of the room and close the door. She meows and scratches the door so frantically, and sometimes she'll even howl, it's like a child separated from its parents! I usually let her back inside, so I haven't slept properly for almost 4 years...
I live in a one bedroom apartment with a screened balcony which is all hers, her litter is out there, she has a furniture where she can go in and it has a "hidden" box where no wind or anything can get in and she has a cat tree thingy where she can climb lay down and judge the people below and watch all the birds and animals who are in the area. She loves the balcony! When i need my 8 hours of uninterrupted sleep, i grab her bowl of water and food and tell her its time to go out and she goes to the balcony and i close the door. She is happy and safe throughout the whole night and i get my sleep. if I just leave her out of the room she will claw at the door all night long and won't let me sleep! maybe just little by little take one of the rooms that is spacious and make it into a semi kitty room for her when you really need your sleep! she will be ok! and you get your sleep!

Mine started to meow like a psycho in the evening, until I get up and follow her to the kitchen, sit next to her food bowl, not on a chair, nooo, I have to be on a cold floor and watch her eat. And I am pretty sure one day she will murder me in my sleep. Too often I wake up in the middle of the night, because that little demon is biting on me. I often find myself apologizing to her when I move while I am in bed. I think my brain knows it is in potential danger, better say sorry for disrupting little princess in her sleep and save your pathetic life. :D She is evil, but damn I love her so much.
My cat can't really meow but will still go through the motion of trying to meow, aka opening his mouth and making air come out, sometimes he makes a good meow and we all get so proud of him. He is also the biggest food thief and has stolen a whole steak from my mom. He likes to use the covers like a human, his body under the blanket head sticking out resting on my arm like a pillow. He also likes to stick his paw down the garbage disposal and because of that and other poor grooming habits we have decided he is gross and my mom is constantly singing the smelly cat song from friends to him.

My little fella was a pretty standard cat without major quirks, but when I would come home a little later than usual, he would sit in the hallway screaming at me like "DO YOU KNOW HOW WORRIED I'VE BEEN ???!!!" That was sweet...
My cat Boo is a very lovely furry baby. When he sees a kid crying (even a stubborn) we will come to me and scream like mad because he thinks that little human needs to be taken care of. And he won't stop until little human stops too. That's very pleasant if you have a stubborn two year old visiting crying because it's not allowed to eat the cat food or something and than have a cat crying too because liitle human is being uncomfortable. Bit of like a mad house. lol

Awwww.. these are all so cute! I agree with the Goldenmeme above. My kitty was having issues with eating too fast and keeping his food down. Now, to avoid him gobbling it down in one fell swoop, I scrunch down on the floor with him and feed him a few little kibbles at a time and stay with him while he eats. He absolutely LOVES it and if I'm not there "feeding" him, he will sit there staring until I join him. It's actually quite adorable and a great way to bond with him.
I trained my cat to say "how are you" for a greeting meow. It sounds like "aow-ah-euuu", but I know he is saying "how are you?"....he can also say "hello" "ehh-ooh", and sometimes says them in combination....I know he is intelligent because when I say to him "go get me another roll of toilet paper", he gives me the same look of indifference a roommate or wife would give you, saying "go get your own darn toilet paper"
I have two pretty dramatic cats and one pretty mellow one. Howie is obsessed with sitting on my lap and gets mega pissed if I have to get up.. The other night he growled at me and nipped at me because I made him get off my lap. He stared at me in the kitchen until I was done and the moment I sat back down, he was in my face. My other whiny boy, Louie, cries for attention.. but not just any attention, it has to be pets on his favorite stair and nothing else will do. The mellow one, Scottie, just likes belly rubs.. from anyone, anytime, doesn't matter. Otherwise, he's chill.
One morning it was about 43F outside and my young feral wanted outside on the lanai. When I opened the door and that arctic blast hit her face she gave me a judgmental "Not funny" look and went back in the house. We did this twice. The next day, also cold, STILL not funny. Finally, day 3, 76F outside. "That's better" face and we bounced out onto the lanai. Apparently I have the power to control the weather and prank my cat while doing so.
One of my cats is an elderly Siamese who needs to be fed a wet renal diet. She's the most talkative and has very specific ways of saying different things. Just the other morning I got up and got her food ready. She was so excited she was meowing like crazy. When she was settled down and eating I started putting a load in the washing machine and a few seconds later she went "Meh! Meh! MOOOOOOHHHHHH!!!" It was so hilarious just how she changed her voice to say "MORE!!!" She had scarfed down all the food and was demanding a refill.
Adorable. When I used to cry, my cat would always come and find me. When I stopped crying, and felt better, he'd double check I was okay and then slink off to do his nighttime patrol :)
My neighbor had a Russian Blue that they rescued. Her husband was also paralyzed down his right side from a stroke. Some nights he gets pains in his leg and stomach. But the cat would sense his discomfort and massage his leg with her paws or lay on his stomach and purr. And , when he'd occasionally fall to the floor and paramedics were called to get him back up again, the cat would sit perched on top of his recliner to greet the paramedics and make sure they did everything ok. When they were done helping him, they'd group around the cat and take turns petting her..like it was their reward for doing a good job.
The bath mat in the litter box reminds me of mine. She will bury socks left on the bathroom floor
I've had 2 dogs that gave me the "Are you crazy, do you know what time it is?" look.
One of my cats is an inside/outside cat and he has 2 friends(If one of them are outside before the other they will sit in each others driveway and wait) but if he wants to go outside he'll scream at the door for a few minutes, run up to my room at meow at me and even if it's freezing outside but I find it cute that he has friends which I have no idea what their names are I call them "fake fluffy" because one of them has fur that looks really soft but its not and then I call my cats other friend 'Big headed white friend" because its not fat in general it just has a big head Oh also if my cat doesn't come out in a few minutes of them waiting they will jump my fence and start screaming at my back door!!
Mine will sniff at the food on my plate but rarely eats any, even if I offer her a piece. She also doesn't go for the typical cat things like milk. She'd rather lick the flavoring off my doritos, and drink my iced tea.
Cats shouldn't be given milk. Most cats are lactose intolerant.

One of my youngest cats will scavenge the house for socks and gloves when he is bored, he leaves them wherever he pleases( usually only a foot or two from where he found them) and then ignores them, but if his food bowl is empty or nearly empty( he can see a teeeeny bit of the bottom of the bowl), he will leave the socks and gloves in a trail leading up to the food howl, then he will find me and scold me for making him do it. Once he even dragged a pair of my jeans into his food trail.
My cat Merlin will cry when he's lonely. He's too lazy to get up and find company. He stops when we pet him, and then cries again when we leave the room.
My baby girl is elderly and wakes me up to feed her. She knows my schedule well! She paws at my face...Except for weekends. Too early! I just shift her food and she's fine. But lately I've had to resort to shutting my door and using a baby gate (I have it due to a friend with dogs who frequently visits) on weekdays so she isn't right outside the door. I seriously am going to try moving her food bowl though, from the kitchen to next to my desk. She loves to be near me, and I work from home, so I bet she would LOVE that. I adore the little monster!
