Over the weekend, we had a crazy flood in Paris. The Seine rose by a whopping 6.10m! It flooded buildings, public transports, and businesses. The last time the Seine got this high was more than 30 years ago. While it is exciting to experience, it was also quite troublesome for me.
You see, I live right next to the Seine.A few extra centimeters of water, and I would have been stuck at home with my wife and toddler.
Once the situation had been stabilized, I wanted to document it and not wait another 30 years or so for a similar situation. So I ventured out with one goal in mind: To document the flood without getting distracted by the gorgeous architecture of the city.

This was a non parking zone, you were warned…
There used to be a road here!
One giant puddle
Make sure to respect speed limitations
It was InSeine!
Arg! What’s that boat doing here?
Boat owners trying to attach their boats where they can
Even the Louve had prepared for it
And so was Notre-Dame
Even statues wanted the water to go down
