I deleted Facebook over stuff like this. I wasn’t posting about my job, but I might have posted something about my day or whatever and people take it personally. Social media might have been a good idea, but it turned into a bad one. It doesn’t help that Zuckerburg refuses to do anything about bullying or harassment on it.
And that my friends, is why I refuse to ad anyone coworkers of any level to any social media I have and all my accounts a private. This should be common sense.

one time, back in the day, i sent an ICQ message to what i thought was my co-worker bitching about our boss & how on my a*s he was about certain things ....OOPS. I ended up sending that message to the boss instead. I immediately sent him a message following and apologized. He called me into his office where I thought i was fired for sure. We sat down, i explained my frustrations at him and he expressed that he didn't know he was being so hard on me. He accepted my apology and we moved on from it.
Yup...always be sure *no one* from your job can see what you post, unless you trust them entirely not to share it, or that they don't have the boss on your friends list. Better yet...just don't post c**p about work. I've seen 2 people get fired for exactly this kind of thing. Posted how stupid their boss was, or how horribly managed the company was...they were gone within 48 hours. This was a good-paying job, room for advancement, benefits, the works. We're not talking a burger flipping job here.

This is as bad as accidentally sending an email to someone who should never see it. Think Michael Scott sending the “Jamaica Jan Sun Princess” picture to Packaging@dundermifflin.com (everyone in the warehouse), instead of Packer@dundermifflin.com (his best friend), which is similar to sending it to someone you forget is included in a group email.

Even though u/Peanutbuttered is aware that their subreddit is for quick entertainment, it still provides a lesson to learn. “My hope is that people who are thinking of attempting a stupid stunt will rethink their decision or maybe recall a post they saw on /r/whatcouldgowrong. Then they’ll think, 'maybe I should not do this,'” the redditor said.
In fact, u/Peanutbuttered concluded that in a perfect world, r/whatcouldgowrong wouldn’t exist “because people would know what is smart to attempt and what isn’t.” But since that’s not the case, at least, they hope the subreddit can help to prevent an injury or save a life.

What could go wrong when you call in a bomb threat? A girl from my high school found out. She was supposed to be on ISS (In School Suspiension), starting after a break. She decided that she didn't want to. She and her stupid a*s friends came up with a "brilliant" plan and called the school to report a bomb. These hardened criminals forgot about little details - like caller ID and security cameras. If that wasn't bad enough, she had just turned 18, meaning she could be tried as an adult. She definitely got the extended vacation she wanted - 5 years of it in one of our lovely barred, lockdown hotels.

It has been a learning curve for me. Don't put fake blood on a lorry trying to go under a low bridge or you will flood the engine. Don't get out of motor to feed the monkeys or the bears wreck your car. Never park between trolleys or scaffolding or under bird infested trees. Do not use plastic or hide plastic in the oven, to hold hot oil or to throw ashes into. Stay away from dogs faces but get them to chew up the sofa. Tell mama her food is C**p and I've thrown all her dough in the bin! Avoid hair raising experiences.Oh yeah, don't be an on line karen to stores.
What makes me even sadder is how the educational system is letting people like this matriculate through school then graduate.
