Simply titled, “80 Years Old, First Blind Date.” the story unfolds with Pearl, 77, and Charles, 80, as they take in London after meeting for the first time. Before the meet-up, both are interviewed, revealing their vulnerability and nervousness while navigating the newness of online dating. Pearl fondly recollects going to movies and holding hands with young suitors. Charles is just eager to hand over the roses and the date to begin. We see the couple enjoying lunch at a London eatery, and then spending the afternoon enjoying each other’s company while taking in the sites. It’s obviously they’re both having a good time. As the sun starts to set the couple is asked if there’ll be a second date. You can’t help but enjoy the smiles between the two as Charles replies, “very likely.”
