I am a versatile artist who happens to get bored easily from his own creations, therefore every month or so I tend to change completely my style, and delve into new creative ideas which give me motivation to continuously express myself.
I was walking around the capital city, and all of a sudden whilst taking pictures of the dull monuments around, it came up to my mind to do something creative out of them. Since it is illegal to do any alterations to the monuments, I took a snapshot instead and tuned the images using a popular photo editor, therefore the unreachable had become reachable.
Whilst I have been hearing a lot of issues against contemporary monuments which are popping around my country (Malta), I decided to address the issue by turning these boring busts, which are loved by traditionalists, into something funny. The aim was not to mock the people representing these monuments, but to mix the old with the new, and giving them a touch of irony regarding the change everybody wants, but nobody admits.
